with my humble experience if I were to give an advice, I would say that you should make those mistakes till you get tired of making those mistakes, because by then your brain would begin to avoid making those mistakes, this is just my humble take on the issue of indiscipline, as it is what I've noticed in my own journey. I tend to be a super impulsive trader, as I always jump into a trade at every market turn or signal that I think I'm seeing, I hate missing trades, it eats me up, but recently I just got super tired of making all those stupidily silly mistakes and I'm back to the lesson that boss infofirst has always preached on here. lately I'm not so eager to jump into a trade, I don't even mind missing the trade entirely, but b4 I enter a trade I have to be very sure that the trades meet all my criteria, and whenever I missed a trade that I've been waiting for, I always tell myself no problem, I'll just wait for the next bus (trade) and hope on it. Like I said earlier on Gold, today likely be indecisive. Tomorrow will confirm whether buyer on seller will take incharge. But good trade will come from Wednesday when the trend will be established. I can have a quick scalp tomorrow depending on early momentum.

Here are the fundamentals of the tips.

1. Come to the market everyday with a clean slate.. No bias.

2. As a day trader, u really do not have any business with higher time frames.. 15 mins and below is your best bet.

3. I only trade London session and NY session.

No 1 & 2 I got from him, no 3 is my own personal strategy.

Nothing special bro, go through my posts I've shared how I trade sometimes back, but here are some pointers that might help.

I mostly trade London open and do the opposite in New York.

A lot of times when it buys in London - it sells in NY and vice versa, I take advantage of that, it's evident in my trades.

I get signals mainly through market structure HH and HL, LL and LH, I used RSI for a while and stopped, it didn't work for me.

Then probably the last which might sound crazy lol, brokers hate me for knowing it because I take their money every day 😂

I don't have a bias, I don't come to the market with any sort of direction or thoughts, It's clean slate everyday, I don't look at any higher time frames at all, I only trade on the 15 minute and monitor moves on the 1 minute, I learnt this from Tom Hougaard.

...it follows good risk management nah, so it cannot be weird...but, I get your point bro.

Actually, it is a style that I developed for instilling my discipline in trading and reducing the volume of my losses. In retrospect, I observed that whenever my entry was right, it was usually within price lines I call traction levels. So I started minimising my SL strictly around those levels with spreads added for any entry. That way, if two traction levels are consecutively lost, it becomes unlikely that my analysis was right and I exit from any further entry for that trade.

Also, like you noticed, rarely do I take trades that have an RR of less than 1:4; that way, one winning trade after 2 or 3 losses can bring me to breakeven and preserve my live s.

My strategy is just with the Bollinger Bands {default settings} in mostly M15. I locate a point where the Upper and Lower BB visually acquaint each other with a {right trend} candle body course across one of both; then I track historically leftwards to pick their three traction levels {three BB levels} and place entries one after the other for only two levels, that's all.

The simpler your strategy, the better for your profitability in the long run; but you must always be patient to follow your strategy strictly.

Chief, your trading style is kinda weird, but super profitable..

I mean, how do you possibly trade gold with just 10 pips stop loss? And when u get stopped out, u re-enter again with the same 10 pips stop loss..

And the good part is that your R;R ratio is always big enough (I'm talking 1:6 and above)

I have followed through on some of your previous calls here on gold, and I must say that you're doing fantastically well..

The problem is not from forexfactory, the problem is from your phone. It's either you're making use of a VPN that's set to a country with a completely different time zone to ours, or something is seriously wrong with your phone time settings..

PPI news was around 2:30 pm,yours is showing 8:30am, the FOMC news was 8pm and yours is showing 2pm..

You got to rectify that bro to prevent future occurrence.

I tend to always favour trend reversals so was on the lookout for when the ascending price was going to reverse. E shock me when the price blasted past 2075 and climbed to 2145. Decided to trade the retracement (best to enter early) and hope it will pull back to the 2000 I had in mind. We thank God.

I'm still learning my brother and like I said earlier, I combine Bollinger bands with RSI, A/D, starting from 1 month timeframe (to check for major /resistance zones), then work my way down the timeframes to H1. I do that for all the major (and some minor) pairs until I see those that look ripe for reversal. Also check for any relevant news that may affect the pair I'm looking at.

Did anyone sell on Gold since morning?
I still left the 2 trades open, no TP yet. One mind is telling me to let it ride all the way to 2000 psychological zone. Another mind is telling me to close at 2010 which sits right on top of the SMA 10 line on the D1 chart and bottom line of the Bollinger channel on H4 chart. Major .

In addition, Commitment of Traders report for Friday last week showed majority of traders betting long on gold, so there will be a reversal of this downtrend as soon as RSI enters oversold territory. For now D1 chart is showing RSI at 51.8.

I'm sorry I can't say where to enter any trade for now, if you hadn't sold when it was around 2100 early this morning. Situation is quite volatile, with a lot of conflicting news reports. The only safe place I'm seeing a short term buy, is around 1990, which might also change as time goes on.
