Peter Obi diverted public funds to a private in Fidelity bank. Funds meant for public projects were kept in a private bank to be used for the business of the bank. And guess, it’s a bank Peter Obi has huge interest in. If this had happened in America or China, Peter Obi would still be in prison by now.

The fidelity bank issue aside, Peter Obi diverted state funds to the use of his family business in the name of investment. Guess what again, those so called investment in his family business are now as worthless as tissues paper. It was simply a classic case of money laundering.

We also can’t forget how the police arrested Peter Obi with raw cash of N250 million very late in the night when his tenure was about ending. Guess his explanation? He wanted to use the money to pay contractor. As in, who pays a public contractor with raw cash in 2014? A governor claiming he’s moving raw cash to contractor is the height of lying you can ever get from anyone.

To make matters even worse, Peter Obi was named in the global list of corrupt politicians who kept their loot in tax havens by the Pandora papers. In other climes, most of those mentioned in the Pandora exposé are still in prison. But somehow, Peter Obi metamorphosed to a saint in Nigeria.
