I believe you wrong. You don’t take full flaps with max thrust to climb bros……. that will be a disaster. The plane will stall even though the engines will be running.

I believe this is what he must had done…….. after realizing he will overshoot the runway, he returned the flap back to 10 degree or 20degree, then he increased power thrust while ensuring that the plane’s nose does not climb over the angle of attack of the planes wing. There after he retracted the landing gear.

You’re right about the flaps settings. But max thrust is required to climb at that low level.

Tailstrikes can happen on landing… especially with such a heavy plane. The pilots did excellently well aborting landing after touch down twice. It takes full flaps, max thrust and expertise maneuver to execute that.
The 2nd attempt was perfect and they landed safely.

I’ve kept this to myself and my family but since it’s been medically advised by professionals, I think I have to break my silence. I’m not hypertensive but something strange happened to me while watching the semi final match between Nigeria & SA.

From the moment the match started I noticed a sudden increase in my heart beat (palpitation) this continued until about 20 minutes, then I got really nervous, I thought it was normal football tension. After the first half I decided to take a bottle of beer to calm my nerves. The drink made it even worse, I could hear my own heart beating faster and faster.

When the penalty was awarded and about to be taken I noticed my hands were shaking, then my chest was also shaking in rhythm with my heart beat.. I have never felt this way all my life…. I noticed my entire upper body shaking in rhythm with my heartbeat. After our 1st goal when the SA team dominated the gameplay as my heart continued to beat faster, my vision became blurry and I started sweating… my wife noticed what was going on and assisted me to lie down, took the remote from me and changed the channel. I took a glass of cold water and slept off right there.

When I woke up moments later I was told Nigeria won on penalty kicks.
I’ve been checking my BP since then and it’s normal, I’m still wondering what really happened to me that day. For now I quit watching live football games temporarily… only checking live scores and post match highlights.
