FFK may be a bad politician but he makes sense here.
The silence of the FG towards the horrendous activities of the herdsmen is a recipe for disaster.

When Igbos started violent agitation for a separate nation, people started bashing them and calling them "bloody ipobs."
The same people praised Buhari for his unfair treatment of Nnamdi Kanu.
The same people clapped when the JTF killed NINE of a peaceful pro-Kanu rally in Onitsha
The same people spat on the image of Ojukwu because he tried to protect his people.

Now, the same people want the Igbos to start fighting the Fulani herdsmen abi?
The Fulanis will finish everybody because this country is the estate of their grandfather Uthman Dan Fodio. When they are done with the Middle Belt and the Igbos, they will come for the rest.

Meanwhile, Lai Mohammed says the FG is "working silently"

600billion naira shocked

Would the oil marketers have continued supplying fuel if they were being owed such a monstrous amount? I know there is some debt but I doubt the value is up to 600 billion naira. That was how Oshiomhole said that US officials told him an ex-minister stole $6billion.

I can perceive the aroma of Lai Mohammed

Anambra has truly become a great state. Just a little over 10 years ago, Mbadinuju essentially ran the state like Aregbesola. No salaries for civil servants. No investments in the state. Nothing except big gbese. Mr. Peter Obi really brought a massive change with his financial prudence and sound investments which Obiano has been wise enough to consolidate. Anambra is a state for the future.
Even though Ikpeazu seems to be working in Abia, I feel Alex Otti would have done better.

1.Nigeria needs more technocrats in governance.
2. FG should hand more power to the geopolitical regions.

Glad you're seeing it yourself. I bet if someone had told you when you were in Nigeria, you would have thought they were lieing. It's a great place, but it comes with a cost. I wish everyone in Nigeria could be granted visas to th US, let's see if most of them won't run back to Nigeria.
If the Nigerian government fixes the roads, electricity etc, I'm sure most Nigerians overseas will want to go back home.

At your comment about where people get capitals from, I'm sure you're already aware the US is more of a credit economy vs Nigeria that is a cash economy. You can actually take out huge loans with good credit, so you don't have to wait on someone to explain how they did it when you already know how some people are - many would prefer you to follow them rather than walk with them, the first lesson I learnt in the US.

I'm really interested in the credit economy of the US. It is possible to get huge loans at great rates, bring the money to Nigeria and invest in high-yielding ventures( particularly if you can change at the parallel market). For instance, US Treasury Bill rates are very poor when compared to Nigeria Treasury Bill rates. The only problem is probably getting the credit-worthiness required to get such a loan.
@CFCman, SmartMugu, Maternal et al, what do you think?

Even Senator Lawan can't save Senator Saraki…… the only way out is him discharged by the CCT. Then he has to take a trip to the EFCC

The poster above is apparently oblivious of the importance Nigerian market is to investors in the investment space for saying Yes...We have had times more challenging than this before and foreign airlines eg british airways refused to leave Nigeria rather they have reintegrate and align their business models to fit in the peculiarity of the Nigerian market..I can boldly say, there is no other African country where these investors make abnormal profit aside Nigeria...It is a known fact that Nigerians pay the highest fares for flight than any other African country. Talk about telecom, MTN Nigeria is the biggest cash cow of MTN group. Talk about pay tv, multichoice nigeria lead its peers within multichase group and so on. The fact is, the difficulty being faced is only short term and not forever. So, let them be patient rather than threaten us to leave because like @nio68 said, they will surely return.

Truworths exited Nigeria. Michelin Nigeria stopped manufacturing Any company will exit any country once profits begin to slide, operations are stymied and regulations become prohibitive. Lagos-Madrid is not indispensable for Iberia, unlike maybe London-Madrid, and if they feel their cash is better utilized elsewhere, they will move. Richard Branson left Nigeria because he was frustrated. Did he not know that Nigerians "pay the highest fares for flight in Africa."
The MTN Group is insignificant outside of Africa. Multichoice is insignificant outside of Africa. Nigeria is the biggest market in Africa.
Imagine the FG fined Coca-cola a crippling sum. You think they will run about like MTN.

You can't try buying of votes in Anambra state. Billionaires are everywhere - two for five kobo.
Any amount Ifeanyi Ubah wants to offer, Obiejesi will double it.
Whatever Obiejesi brings to the table, Ambrose Orjiako will triple it.
If Orjiako wants to flex financial muscle, Arthur Eze will remind him of his grandfather's hut.

Elections are very expensive there

It is possible that Udom Emmanuel did not build this house with Akwa Ibom money. A man who has tasted the height of Corporate Nigeria can afford a place like this if he wants. He was probably a billionaire before he became governor. I know of lower level bank staff who build houses with values in excess of 50million.
What of Alex Otti? His houses in Abia are monstrous masterpieces. If he became governor, tongues would have started wagging with tales of theft.

These "Northern Elders" are the reason why Nigeria can never be a united nation. Buhari's lopsided appointments are not enough to placate them. The billions of naira Jonathan poured in to the North via the PINE program are not enough. They will always want more. They are the disciples of Ahmadu Bello who stated that Nigeria was their backyard and the conquered territory of Dan Fodio.

I believe crude oil and petro-dollars in the South-South are the only things keeping Nigeria as a single country. The Americans already believed that Nigeria in its present form was unsustainable. Nobody could predict Jonathan to change the equation and accept defeat. Buhari has already approved 40 billion for oil exploration in Lake Chad. Once they find oil in commercial quantity, all this talk of "One Nigeria" may just die.
After all, Gowon was ready to allow the South-East to secede; he had already signed the Aburi accord. Then he was told it meant oil-rich Rivers state was gone.

Then he reneged.

Then war broke out.

It is all about the oil

I don't think Aregbesola "resuscitated" this factory. The Chinese company saw the potential and pumped money and other resources into the factory. Aregbesola only gave them permission to do it.

How can Aregbe resuscitate anything? grin

Just look at the difference between Mimiko's comment and the near-rubbish that Oshiomhole is saying?
The sane governor is looking for a way to solve the issue and is asking the armed herdsmen to stop their incursion into private farmland.

The short gomina, who want govt appointments after his tenure, is threatening to prosecute anybody who "takes people's cows."
