Hon. Stephen Friday Olemija, a serving member of the National Assembly at the lower chamber in Abuja has cried out over attempt by some group of people in his constituency to take life out of him, his family and ers.

The member House of Representative, representing Akoko North East / Akoko North west federal constituency said the alleged attempt was a fallout of the last governorship primary election of the All Progressive Congress ( APC ) in Ondo state when the ers of an Aspirant, Olusegun Abraham from Ikare~Akoko alleged him ( Olemija ) of not ing his bid during the just concluded primary.

According to the former boss of the council area, the action which was allegedly masterminded by some chiefs in the town.

"They organised youths and women to chant various derogatory songs and words against him round some quarters in Ikare~Akoko."

"They were in my constituency office, located at Ilepa area in the town to loot, vandalised and molest staff in the office, they also vandalised the personal office of my Senior Legislative Assistant ( SLA ) in the town, destroying properties worth millions of naira."

Olemija, noted that since after the primary election, he has been getting strange calls on his phone just as his family and ers while series of personal attacks and molestations have been made on his ers.

The MHR informed that within his shortest time at the National Assembly, he has been able to empower many youths and women in the town, assist a lot for one projects or the other, which is unprecedented.

While he noted that he would continue to thread the path of progress and development of the area, state and Nigeria as a whole, yet the honourable noted that under the constitution of the country, every citizen has the legal right to any person of his choice in an election, without been harassed or molested, wonders why the group is now calling for his head and that of his ers for action taken in the just concluded governorship primary election of the party APC.

He therefore called on security agencies to bring culprits to book so as to serve as deterrent to others, while the party ( APC ) should take action against the elements for progress and development of the party.
