Buhari/INEC is a big minus to Nigerians!!!

They cannot conduct a successful election in just 2 states

Modified:

Okay I will blame the crew and not the captain undecided quantinue!!!

You should have blamed Nigerians instead of PDP's 16years

Dey shift goal post upandan!!!

Exactly. People keep on changing the narrative to achieve dubious aims. D blame lies first with the Executives and then INEC before any other person. If PMB signed the electoral reforms bill which legalized electronic voting & transmission, these issues of ballot box snatching etc would not have occurred. It's like blaming the engers in a car instead of the driver when something goes wrong.

SarkinYarki:

This has nothing to do with leaders but the dishonest character of 80 percent of Nigerians

U re mistaken. It has everything to do with poor leadership. If there are enough employment opportunities, many people will be gainfully employed and won't go into crime.
And it is the leadership that will create the atmosphere conducive for businesses to thrive and employ people.

The media houses need to stop all these propaganda news they're dishing out every day.

Why should Benin republic import everything from their port and make money on our behalf. How can a small country import more bags of rice than their population.

Even though I don't like Buhari, but this border closure has exposed so many people like people who import Palm oil, like seriously Palm oil? You have the mind to smuggle Palm oil into Nigeria? Like seriously are we mad? SS and SE are flooded with Palm oil. Some people are now importing already made stew from China, go to ShopRite you will see already made stew, like seriously are we mad in this country? Even vegetable oil, Rice, stock fish, cloths, salt, tomato paste, and frozen chicken.

It's game over for Benin republic, cos they've been cheating us for decades now.

It's also game over for Ghanaians who comes to Nigeria to buy products that are subsidized with our Dollar, and they still have the audacity to be locking Nigerian shops for years.

I even thought that Ghanaians travels to Asia and Europe to buy products, I didn't know they're squeezing products out of Nigeria. I was watching their TV news as Ghanaian traders were interviewed on how it's affecting their business.

One extension hair seller said she's in trouble cos she has ran out of stock and customers are complaining cos Xmas is around the corner.

The other one said he went to Ladipo to buy motor spare parts but he couldn't carry the goods out of Nigeria. So they depends on Nigerian goods but they're the ones who hate Nigeria the most in West Africa.

That border will remain closed till 2050. Period.

Media houses continue the propaganda news, good thing Buhari can't read.

U re contradicting urself. It's the Govt that should develop monetary & fiscal policies to make smuggling unattractive. But that's not the case presently. Our borders are very porous and it ll definitely encourage smuggling. Let the Govt wake up to their responsibility and things will definitely change. We can not be cutting our nose to spite our face. Prices of foodstuffs have skyrocketed due to the border closure and this affects negatively the already pauperised Nigerians. How much is a bag of local Rice now? How many families can afford it? Also many businesses in Nigeria do genuine & legal cross border trade. How will they survive this?
Let the Govt hold the Custom officials responsible for allowing smuggled goods into Nigeria.
If they are found wanting, first equip & motivate them & introduce technology in policing our borders. Then discipline them & sack them. Start first with their boss and then discipline them down the chain of command. If they do this, normalcy will be restored at our borders.

Danfo owners or drivers dont have bank not to talk of BVN, even the very few that may likely have an will not be operating the better still, they will always find a way to beat any traffic light and scale through.

U didn't understand him. He said that the registration of the vehicle will be linked to the BVN of the owner. This means that the owner will be culpable if his driver misbehaves.

You can increase ur budget a little and buy locally the Opel Astra & Nissan Primera 99-2000 model. What's the essence of travelling to Cotonou then with all the attendant risks.

Very good car. The Zafira, Astra & Vectra appear more common. (Don't forget the very popular Opel Omega then nicknamed "pure water"). The spare parts are very affordable depending on the year and model. If u re in Lagos, the parts are available at Ojuelegba & Ladipo.

The 1999 model u re talking about is good and the parts are available in Daleko. Just ensure it’s not a converted one.

thanks Sir, is it fuel efficient.
.
It depends on what u re looking at.
It can not be as fuel efficient as a 1.8 liter engine Toyota Corolla.
But comparing apple to apple, it’s ok.
ray48: 9:42pm On Jun 15, 2018
It’s a good bargain. Parts are in Ladipo. I guess it’s the 4 plugs engine cos some also come with 6 plugs, Maintenance wise, it’s very Ok.

I used peugeot 406 for 12 years & 307 for 10 years. 406 is a good for both local runs & journey, same applies to 307. It's doesn't give problem if you have a good mechanic, not all those mechanic that repair more than 10 brands of vehicle. The only thing you will need to watch out for is the timing belt & oxygen sensor. I normally buy it's original belt & replace it every 2 year, not ones that is sold for 6k that last only 4 - 6 months while the oxygen sensor (green) helps the vehicle in its economy, if it's faulty you will notice black smoke from the exhaust. After these 2 things I never issues with both cars. If not for the new models with timing chain, all other peugeot with timing belt, requires changing every 2 years if you're using the original one. Avoid cut & electrician, because almost all wiring comes from the brain box. If you observe this then peugeot will last longer than you expect

How much is the original timing belt and do they have a brand name?

Enjoying ur thread. I use IPad too
ray48: 5:44pm On May 06, 2018
Then model u put the the pix up is good with a decent fuel economy. It's being used in many cities in the South West for transportation. Obviously it's good for a run around vehicle since the spare parts are available and affordable. The ones I have seen cost between N600k to N900k depending on many factors.
