descarado: Ate it growing up. It was usually cooked overnight, it was then mixed with akpu mmiri (wet cassava chips, especially ones shredded with knives) palm oil, ehuru (African nutmeg) akanwu (potash), crayfish, salt and pepper while some do sprinkle in ugba/ukpaka.....na traditional meal that takes time to prepare! ![]() You can be creative with it, accompanying with carbohydrates such as yam but it can take forever to cook, reason it is regarded as an old woman's delicacy! ![]() 2 Likes |

Pavore9:Oh, thank u ![]() Was looking for what we can eat it with or how to prepare it,found nothing. I love traditional foods. Just that to prepare some of them takes a whole day. This one is like cooking cocoyam. It takes ages but it's the best tuber ever. And you are not guaranteed it won't itch you when eating even though you cooked it hours ![]() But eating it with ncha is worth the time spent cooking it. That thing is super sweet ![]() 1 Like |
