Na the reduction be the issue. I don't know how WES does it but the GPA is relatively higher compare to ECE.

WES takes time, Yes! Couple of blame goes to our universities here.

Both are acceptable , no difference .....

so if no plan for coming on holiday within a year validity of air tickets then one-way works out cheaper and can be bought (depending on the airline)

WES is not slow at all. What makes the process slow is the time most nigerian universities waste before responding to wes.

ECE evaluated my transcripts and it took one week. From 4.08/5.0 to 3.47/4.0... It’s true that they reduce gpa but it’s slightly better than WES. Wes takes more time because after receiving your transcripts, they’ll send another form to your school to complete and send back for confirmation. But ECE evaluates immediately they receive your official transcripts. If not for the cost, it’s better to send transcripts to both companies and choose the own that gives you a higher gpa

Seems there is a design to get us pay for another MRV. Appointments were massively moved from early December to January last week. And all of these days are available now. This is really not funny.

Interestingly, I mustered the courage to call their help line to see if my appointment could be adjusted after seeing this post but the lady who picked my call maintained that days are no longer available in Lagos till January. I tried appealing to emotion by emphasizing my starting date and that I had exhausted my deferment options at my school . Sensing her empathetic tone, I requested if she could fix me in Abuja. She checked and checked and told me the earliest day in Abuja is January 15th. She was sorry for the inconvenience and that was all.

Someone put today that there are dates released for December. I guess you just have to keep checking

Pls I want to apply for Student Visa but I'm kind of confused. I graduated with 2.62 CGPA as an Undergraduate from Architecture department and I'm planning of applying for Diploma Course because of my CGPA. Pls I'll like to ask the following questions:
1. Which school is best for me to apply to that will surely offer me ission
2. How soon can I get ission and is it possible for me to still apply for Spring ission

I arrived to the embassy by 7:30am and myself appointment was 10am. On the avenue, those hustlers of money stopped me and said I should wait for them to check my documents and see if it wasn't complete and I insisted that it was complete before I saw up to 5 persons there who were asked to go and get 5x5 port size , where as I am with 2x2. I allowed them to check my documents and they said I would have to reprint my DS 160 confirmation, showed me the one the embassy would need and I agreed. I asked how much and he said #4,500 and port #2,500 which summed to be #7,000. I began bargaining with them and finally gave them #4,000 for both respectively.

I went inside there and do the needful processes . Now the interview proper which was around 9:30am.

*FINDINGS:*

I found out that one should fee relax and be confident enough. Have it in mind that two things, one much happen today because you have come and no going back, it will help you relax your mind. Dress like a student you are.

Lastly, pray fervently because God never changes. Even as I entered there, I said to myself self , US embassy, here I come and I will never go out with my an approved visa and I said 3 hail Mary prayer. Even as the VO was typing endlessly, I continued to say "Hail Mary in my heart".


I pray that those having their interview ahead will got approval message.

I saw 160 dollars on their website however I total of 245$ was generated at the end of the application.
Am I doing something wrong?

No protest anywhere. What they keep giving as excuse is " Due to the current situation ". So, I guess there were overwhelmed, and they needed to strictly adhere to the COVID rules guiding Nigeria and the US.
