I stumbled on an immigration pathway for nurses to come and do care jobs in New Brunswick. You should probably read on that.
it also requires a job offer

Thank you so much for this information.
and I'll be more than glad to meet you some day after I settle in.

Congrats Dameele.

Oh yes I finished from Fanshawe and I had to do 2 PGC programs. I am still in London Ontario, I work and live here.

What should you expect? I don’t even know what to tell you.
Well, it is a cool city and for me, l love it here (except the boring social life). It is also an okay city for international students although COVID has made it a bit challenging for students to get part time jobs.

Have an open mind, embrace other cultures and be willing to unlearn some stuffs we have been used to as Nigerians.

Transitioning from a 1 year PGWP to PR. This is a difficult one to answer as each person will have to evaluate their situation and determine best suits them and assess their apetite for risk.

It also depends on your age, IELTS, how soon you can get a job in NOC O,A or B post graduation and which route you are considering for PR.

Is it easy to get jobs post graduation in NOC 0, A or B? I did and had friends who also got those jobs. I must add, your program of choice also plays a key role.

It is very possible to get PR with just 1 year PGC, I have seen few people do it BEFORE COVID and I have friends in the process as we speak. I must also add, it is risky.

My personal suggestion will be, go for a second program if you have the money so that you can have peace of mind.

If you need anything when you come in to London Ontario, please feel free to reach out, ask questions as much as possible. I am more than happy to help you to the best of my ability.

Fanshawe will likely give you 2 free nights of accommodation while you search for houses.

On this thread In 2018, I got help from a wonderful man The Congo ( he has been in London for over 20 years or there about) and another wonderful Nigerian lady ( I can’t her name anymore) who helped me settle in. God bless them.

Has anyone travelled with Turkish Airlines before? Do they require any covid-19 test? I'm sure now that Ethiopian Airways doesn't require the test if your destination is Canada but since Turkish is cheaper for me, I want to be very sure.

Many people have had negative experience with Turkish Airlines. The most common airlines without any hassle is Ethiopia and Egypt air.

Thanks for this. I'm going to use Ethiopian. That's what almost everyone seems to be using.

Please do a Covid test and send to that app (have forgotten but you can google) before landing. This is a new requirement since 21 Nov.

That's not true. Canada doesn't require a negative PCR test. The ArriveCAN app only asks you for self assessment and not a covid-19 test result. Please correct me if I'm wrong with a link to that information.

i used to think guys in canada use to over exaggerate the dating situation in canada. Most Nigerian ladies here wont even give you eye or answer you if you are still a struggling migrant, took me time to get a job in my field unto covid. Suddenly they are now coming close.so what happens if i am laid off tomorrow for example. They will japa again abi. I no longer pity those ladies complaining of no husband in canada o. Na ojukokoro dey worry most, looking for a guy earning megabuck, living in a downtown condo with 2019 car cheesy

KLM was recently approved by the Nigerian government and I understand they'll start flying again from December. We don't know yet what their rules will be as regards covid19 and carrying those with recent COPR.

Hello everyone. Pls does anyone know anything about Slavelake in Alberta. How the place is, job prospects, weather etc. I didn’t think getting ission for practical nursing will be this complicated despite already having a science related degree. All the the colleges I have applied to did not give a positive response. I reside in Ontario with my family.
