I hope you followed up your email with a letter sent by post. They replied my letter and promised to inform me when it is time to issue a replacement visa, at extra cost though. Still waiting and hoping . Their email has not been read for more than 6 months so if you sent them email , it could take many more weeks to read and reply. If you have not sent a letter by post please do so , stating your case number, and they will hopefully reply by email. Good luck.

NVC only asks for mail in documents when requesting additional evidence. He has past that stage. For him to have submitted a DS260, he is at the stage where everything is handled through CEAC. This is the only platform presently utilized at least for all applicants in Nigeria. Your welcome letter would clearly say that you should not mail in civil documents unless the NVC request you to, and mailing in could delay your application or even lead to loss of those documents. NVC only requests mail in in very special circumstances where they are having troubles with the electronic platform and they cannot fix the problem. In fact, such special circumstances are nearly non-existent
presently occassioned by the covid protocols.
I had the same issues he explained when I was processing for my wife and kids and they specifically told me not to mail anything to them and just wait for necessary Icons to be activated on their CEAC dashboard. If there is anything I have learnt in the United States, it is 'adhere to instructions because there are consequences to not doing so'. The welcome letter usually have it in bold print that you should NOT send any document to them and that all documents should be scanned in through the CEAC, it is in anyone's best interest to adhere to that. If your letter doesn't have that good, but I haven't seen anyone who recently got a welcome letter without such instructions.

How long did you have to wait between when you submitted and this update?

Good morning, if you are not able to civil documents after successful submission of your Ds260, then,it means you cannot complete your application electronically. Please read your welcome letter ,it will be clearly stated on the process of your own application . In my own case I had to mail the ing documen both the civil and the sponsors affidavit of to
NVC on the address given in my welcome letter.

my lawyer did manual submitting my lawyer mailed the document on 19th november
They mailed 20th they received and approved the documents

@tmfasterservices it’s to patiently wait for interview letter if you’re ir1 or cr1, if not then wait till when ban expires which is on dec 31st. It’s the waiting game now, and also do check your mails cause that’s where your interview letter will be sent.

Your Lawyer did not mail the documents you submitted to him or her. Your lawyer ed the documents. The picture you attached even shows the link and the documents ed and accepted. You can't mail out a document on 19th get approval and a return mail on 20th.
Your Lawyer simply ed the document and it was accepted immediately.

In a few days to few weeks, the NVC will reply you to notify you that your file has been submitted to the US consulate in Nigeria who would schedule an interview for you.
There is currently a waiting list for this stage due to the covid disruption. So some patience would be necessary.

I was just thinking Studets visa is a more long term and tricky situation so I'm looking for people that have successfully done it.

Seen. I have a long term visa too & currently living In the USA. But the L1 us dual intent so guess that’s easier

Multiple entry within one year.
However, you are supposed to be a resident in America,so your trips must be short ones or else your might be challenged by the CBP

Its unfair when you insist on spreading false information.

A simple 'i don't know' is a much better answer, so the person will seek out the answer elsewhere. I hope the person that was asking the question finally got to call and ask NVC or atleast looked at his welcome letter rather than wait endlessly for his CEAC webpage to change to allow him .

Pls am in the process of filling for my kids(4&6) do u knw the time frame for the whole process. The processing time for I130 is 7mths. What of the nvc time.

His case was still at NVC and there are 2 methods for submitting ing documents after payment and filling of DS260 form - computer ing or physical mailing. For some application it is physical mailing while some is ing online.
To say all applications is done by online ing is completely FALSE.
Please don't add to the falsehood! Like i advised before, a call to NVC is all the applicant needed to confirm the position of his application. Hope he did that.

Yeah, I really hope so, but they are looking for any ID that’s 10yrs older. Anyways we’ll all scale through this and come out with joy.

F3 moved from 15 June 08 to 8 july 08 so that is 3 weeks movement.

F4 need to move now .... It's been a year of retrogression its should not be too long after a case complete ..
