Some people have suggested that the hoodlums responsible for the violence in Oyingbo during the EndSars crisis, could actually be thugs armed by Wike during his second term election campaign, and not really IPOB as he would want people to believe.

Like most Nigerian politicians, Wike recruited these hoodlums, gave them arms and after the elections, he lost control over them, hence they turned to miscreants. Most of them are angry that the governor abandoned them and might have been waiting for an opportunity to vent their anger against the governor, then, the EndSars protest happened.

Instead of Wike to face these hoodlums directly and look for ways to settle them and disarm them - because, if they are monsters, he created them - Wike rather saw in IPOB, not just a scapegoat, but also another good political bargaining chip.
