Atletico Madrid are just being unreasonable! First they refused to negotiate with Arsenal pointing them towards the release clause even though they wanted an Arsenal player (Torreira). Second they refused to include Torreira as part of the deal to bring Party to Arsenal again insisting that the full release clause be paid. Arsenal also wanted an outright sale for Torreira but accepted the loan move because Atletico couldn't afford his relatively cheaper transfer fees. What exactly did Atletico expect from Arsenal owing to their own hard stance.

The team is solid and has good backups..

Gabriel has been solid..
This can been seen in the lesser goals conceded and has made Leno look extra good.
Tierney has been good..
Partey is a great midfielder.. Better in the box than all arsenals present midfielders..

So going forward arsenal looks really good and with all big teams dropping points already.. Anything can happen.

Yeah, Gabriel has been pretty solid... Still can't say how comfortable Willian would be in a midfield. Heard he seldom played there at Chelsea

I believe Atletico's grouse with the transfer was that they were not informed by either party so that they could find a replacement for him.

And I sympathise with them.

They signed a replacement on loan from Arsenal, they knew he was leaving. Forget all the stories making round, Arsenal had always informed Partey, they will get him on deadline day.

They wanted to ensure they can negotiate for other players and having the luxury of g them with staggered payment because if they had triggered Partey's release clause before deadline other clubs would want full payment.

All agreement with partey team was done as soon as the window opened reason why partey never wanted to negotiate with any other team.

You people should not type with emotions, Arsenal pay the highest wages. Most Arsenal players in the market couldn't leave because of their high wages. Most teams couldn't afford them.

Sign on fee is different from wages,Arsenal is one of the best when it comes to wages.

We needed to let him go off the wages book to accommodate partey and Athletico paid 11m for the loan. It's business there was no need being petty.
