Go on Google and do a little research on all about the test. It's just about the basic you can find out yourself without hassles.

I don't have access to Google right now. I'm using the free nairaland version ATM, but thanks I guess.

If anyone wants to inform me before I can get the info, I'd appreciate it.

That is flatly untrue. Hundreds of thousands of people work on H1B visas for years without any problem. The greencard is useful because it helps you avoid having to renew your H1b visa almost every 1-3 years, grants you the right to travel and return to the US without having to reapply for a new visa all the time and have to explain the "reason for your visit" to the CBP officer constantly. With a greencard, you can easily switch jobs without having to file an amendment everytime you change your employer.
boss i look forward to your insightful post everytime and also your condemnation of visa fraud. Pls with h1b visa what are the steps to land a greencard and how long. Will it be the company to file for you?

Yes you are given solving papers even on the computer based mode, which is the more popular mode.
Yes there is also a paper mode though the scoring for the computer mode is faster.

Hi,
Thank you so much
I think I prefer paper based. Does it take much longer to get scores though?

If you are already in the US, you might not be staying in the US for full online semester

TrojanSnail:
If your
school is entirely online, you won't be entering the US this fall

Transcripts are compiled from continuous assessments, mid-, attendance, and of course final exams, over the course of multiple years. It shows what kind of student the individual has been, the depth of subjects they've taken, and progress over the years.

You cannot determine how smart somebody is simply because that individual took one time exam, such as WAEC, SAT/ACT, etc, and did very well. This one time assessment cannot accurately determine or predict how this student will perform in the university setting without taking into consideration what kind of student this person was during high school.

And just so you know, the internal exams (CAT, mid-, finals), from which transcripts are compiled, are not standardized exams. Exams become standardized when people from different settings take same exam (like WAEC, GRE, SAT), and this is not how transcripts are compiled.

with your argument. You're also contradicting your stance.

There are persons that were not serious/studious throughout their undergraduate years. But on deciding to go to graduate school prepared well and scored high in the GRE. They later went on to do well in graduate school.

With your analysis, based on what he did for four years in college, he's dull and that is wrong.

Also saying you can't judge how smart someone is with standardized tests is like saying someone scoring 1500/1600 SAT or 330/340 GRE is dull. No, whether you like it or not, they aren't dull. Yes, some might go on to perform lower than expected later on due to one reason or the other but they aren't dull.

Thought we have moved past this argument. Let me chip in. In American parlance (and as used by most education experts), standardized tests refer only to things such as SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, etc. Grades and GPA-related stuffs are not standardized since they don't test the whole population. In essence, whatever you did in high school or college (undergrad) is not standardized. Some schools are easier than others, etc.

Thank you for sharing.

As regards item number 3; does this mean that students would have to receive new I-20s stating that they would be having in-person classes this fall?

Also, is the permission to use I-20s received by email still valid?

Hello guys,
I'm a graduate student in the U.S. I'm a Pharmacist by profession. I'm really new to this environment and I'm trying to start on the right foot. I need advice/details on how to practice as a Pharmacist in the U.S (i.e. exams I could take). I also need a job I can use to myself. Please kindly assist me. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Can you kindly reply my mail?

As men of honor we hands, isn't it?

Not all schools are going for Hybrid. Some schools are going 100% online. Havard for example

Put Brandeis and Pepperdine University on the list, too. They offer full ride to students like you, but you must destroy the SAT grin
Nice profile.

Exactly! With this new rule, new i-20s will have to be issued to students whose schools will be having hybrid and in-person classes. Or else, no visa interview or even entry to the U.S. But it is too early to determine when a student should ask for the new i-20 since embassy is still closed. smiley

I didn't say all.

And Havard isn't going 100% online. Some graduate colleges will still have in person option. Only the undergraduate students are 100% online.
