And unless they wake up and demand PDP for a chance to Govern Nigeria (which can't happen anyways) North and SouthWest would take more and more developmental loan building ports and rail, and SouthEast won't get anything and must pay back since they claim to all be billionaires

Why are some people just so shallow that they always want to trade insults instead of counter argument with meaningful facts or shut the hell up

If you read anything about the Nigeria economic sustainability plan you would know that they want to power over 25 million homes by solar energy by 2023 or 2024 which is almost 5000MW of power, and there is a point in this project because it provides more inter connectivity between all african couturiers which is what we are trying to achieve, and finally 2500MW is not enough to power the whole of north west kaduna alone needs 961MW to power it and that is with 70% connectivity if everyone in Nigeria’s as connected to the grid we would need about 160 000-200 000MW of power depending on consumption.

Where do you get all these false figures from?

If you have not done research on a field, pls stop dabbling into it.

Stop misinforming people.

Nigeria will consume 160,000MW- 200,000MW.?

I am sure you went to school ooo.

This is a stupid, wasteful project that assumes the Northerners will always be able to keep this country together. Whether they like it or not, the dissolution of this fraudulent entity called Nigeria is just a matter of time.

It is paining you that Mama Peace stole money but no infrastructure to show.

Lazy youth.

Why is it hard for NNPC to award the same gas project to Anambra state which is also major manufacturing hub, are you telling me if its Northern state that boast of huge gas deposit in Anambra, they will be reluctant to develop the gas?

Rubbish. It has gotten to southern crude oil...they have quickly gotten all these expensive pipes.

Buying pipes to syphon the oil doesn't waste time. But develop the south na... Dey won't. No good roads but there are good pipelines channeling oil from South to North...fully guarded with military.

Their farmlands, Rivers, destroyed. They don't have money to clean the Rivers but to buy pipes worth millions of dollars is not a problem.

Shame on this country.

I pity the Southerners that are still sleeping...

Bros...who stopped the Niger Delta from being developed?

Ask your brothers in NDDC that have steadily received accumulated trillions of Naira to develop the Niger Delta for 20 years since 2001 but have diverted the monies.
Meanwhile, it is the same Northern presidency that just instituted an audit into the affairs of the NDDC last year after 19 years of the NDDC existence. When your Niger Delta brother was in the presidency, he never cared that money meant for your development was being stolen and diverted by your co-brothers.

Ask your governors that have been collecting 13% derivation asides from their regular allocation for 21 years since 1999 but have left the Niger Delta states in a state of backwardness.

Ask these people....your development lies in their bellies, their bank s or in their landed properties and investments.

Ask them & let the FG be, FG has never starved the NDDC of funds over the years. FG have never defaulted in giving your governors their 13% derivation, if not, you would have heard of it.

Have a great Sunday.

I didn't ask harmful question, why is hard to award the same contract to Anambra state which is major industrial hub If the Gas deposit in the state is located any of the northern states will NNPC be reluctant? How do you expect other regions to be happy, north have been doing this for decades, what's the result and the end?

You and the guy Anambra 1stSOn are just playing politics. You want us to know the company which stands as front belongs to the South. That cannot becloud us from seeing it as Political project. Olokola LNG project initiated by Obj toward the end of his tenure was killed by Yaradua. That was his only project for South West. He left estimated $50 billion in the reserve and invested in AFC and other places. He also settled debt.

In my honest opinion, this is a senseless project for the simple reason that spending that $2.8billion to build just the pipeline would have built the largest Solar farm in the world(2500MW) right in Kano which could probably supply all of the Electricity needs of North West Nigeria.
There is some much sunlight wasting away in the north it’s a no brainer spending that much to build a pipeline to transport gas from the Niger Delta when has availability is not even guaranteed.

The current largest Solar Power Station in the world is in Pavagada, India @ 2000MW. It cost $2.1b. With $2.8, there is no reason not to do something like that with that kind of money.

Knowledge is power, you need to read more because what you typed is completely "senseless" so you think this project is only about power? Kids of this day refuse to read

you may wish to go back and read paragraph 7 of the write up again and edit your comment. In case you don't have time to go back paragraph 7 says "NNPC originally announced tenders for the development of the AKK pipeline in July 2013" ..... My question is who was the President and minister of Petroleum in 2013? Incase you don't know the answer Jonathan was the President and Diezani was the minister of Petroleum when this project was initiated in 2013

LOL... Hahahaha....you have burst their bubble. Like I said in my previous comment, these people should fight their governors and the NDDC where their brothers are in charge, who have received trillions of naira in funding and 13% derivation for the purpose of development of their lands since 1999 but with nothing to show for it.
No hospitals, no schools, few good roads, etc. GEJ their hero never developed their land for them.

I am presently a consultant on a massive specialist hospital project developed by a private client. The cost of this project is less than N10 billion...compare that amount with what the NDDC alone has received for 20 years...is it not enough to build 50 of such hospitals all across the Niger Delta??

Alas, the money has been diverted by their own kinsmen, but they will rather accuse the FG instead rather than going to protest against their governors and the NDDC management.

It's gradually. Rome was not built in a day. The question should be does Kano and Kaduna need it? The answer is yes. Does Kano Kano and Kaduna industrial hub in northern Nigeria? The answer is Yes. Is Kano kaduna part of Nigeria? Yes.

Zip your mouth the project was conceive by Goodluck Jonathan (region that owns the gas), under Alison Maduake in 2013.

You guys are always insecure if something good is done in Nigeria unless it's in the southeast.

Please ask him. They think everyone is tribalistic and pro-Biafra like them. Even their governors and national assembly of the PDP, whom they campaign & vote for every election cycle are not pro-Biafra, if not they would have demanded for Biafra at the National Assembly longest time ago.
