(A part of me still regards that attacking formation as a duo of Cole and Yorke rather than a trio) This current trio at Liverpool has the same pattern of the Man United team at 07-08, Salah is the face of the team because he is the most fanciful and because of his solo goals. What I Meant by the UCL stuff was, they were very excellent that year that they won the most important league of all league!!

Because of their performance that year, CR7 was crown world best footballer.... "Ballon d'or"

This is not about CR7 or who won ballon d'or

It is about the best trio in EPL history

I even rate the cole- york-Beckham- giggs combo high than the Rooney cr7 tevez thing

it's about synergy
How well did the combo gel, the connection, ease of play and understanding

Many combo's score lots of goals but they don't have good understanding and never really gel
Their individual ability just compensates

With that Arsenal trio they could even play blind folded and still connect! their understanding was top notch
a good eg: Pires- Bergkamp combo goal vs Newcastle 2001 ( was best goal of season I think)
