#12,200 Debit In POS Transaction But Not Successful (4731 Views)

Hi Nairalanders, please help me figure out how i will get my money. I did a POS transaction of #12,200 on the 21st march, 2020 with my gtbank ATM card. It showed pin ok and started processing. Then again, pin error and i was deducted. There was no receipt for the transaction. The POS merchant is PAYCOM riding on Zenith bank. I called their customer care and it was logged same day. i just received the below mail this morning from gtbank. Dear CUSTOMER, Thank you for ing Guaranty Trust Bank. Your request is being processed. We acknowledge the receipt of your e-mail and empathize with you on the dispense error experienced. Please be informed that the claim was declined by the acquiring bank/merchant who insists value was given for the transaction, however the claim has been escalated for further review and should be resolved within eight working days. My question; i meet the POS guy and he denied that the transaction was successful. i told him to investigate on his part while awaiting gtbank's reply how will i retrieve my money considering gtbank come up with same response? |
