I'm someone that believes dreams are our recollected memory playing itself over and over like a tape on repeat.

But I've been having this dreams since I was a kid.

I've seen myself flying. It happens always and I never forget that particular dream when I do.

I understand that forgetting dreams have to do with a neurochemical reactions in the cerebral cortex of our brains particularly on something we cast our minds less.

But I've never thought of flying(thats not even possible) but why does it keep re-occurring.

I could forget 80% of my dreams upon waking up but I never forget the ones I've flown in it. Funny I kinda like the feeling though it's out of the world but I think it's about time I shared.
Perhaps someone with better enlightenment can help.

No I fly alone with no company. I actually have no specific base I'm flying to. I just see my self flying and after that, the usual REM occurs and I'm off to another dream realm

There is nothing wrong in flying in dreams. Millions of people experience this everyday when they sleep. Flying in dreams is related to lucid dreams and out-of-body experiences (OBE).

Just like you noticed, you always when you have this dream. I have also had this dream since I was young. You are happy, refreshed and your memory is sharp whenever you wake up from such dreams.

An interesting thought is shared at Ecclesiastes 5:3 that may be of concern to you. Like in your own case, someone who might dwell much on entertainment that stirs up one’s imagination and curiousity would begin to replay such cognitive pictures while asleep.
