It strengthens the African identity and I feel it's actually the reason why most Of these foreign attention is coming to us now, revenue is increasing, production quality would automatically follow, then we can stake a claim in the international markets backed by robust local .

Your analogy is all wrong. While I am not an ardent fan of Akon I am aware that the "Afrobeat" genre he helped is booming in America and even Europe. I have heard American youths listening to Davido or Wizkid music on the streets. Akon understand America. Unlike a typical African-America he is connected to Africa and this adds to opportunities on his table. He said America was not created for black people. I felt he has more he want to do beyond music which he can never achieve in the USA. There is a story of a black man that invented a machine that create water from air (yes, air). He transported the machine to a neighbourhood that had water supply issue. Someone that was not happy with the man and his machine vandalized it overnight. In Anerica, for you to succeed and do really big thing you need a white person or a jew pulling the strings from behind. This apply to almost all the wealthy black Americans. If you dont want to play that game, then you need a different territory to conquer on your own. I'll rather have Akon running a company that install solar powered electricity across Africa than have a Chinese, Indian or a Caucasian do the same thing.
