If you look at it again with the eye of an investor you will appreciate it unless you have no idea about breeding goats. I think it will be easy for the women to pay back with 3 goats in 18 months. Alexgeneration: What dont people understand about empowerment. Raising goats is a small business enterprise and one of the best ways of improving a society is by boosting small business. Every country gives small business loans and this is just another one. There is no sarcasm in this. You give them a hegoat and 2 she goats and they repay back with three goats. The gestation period of a goat is 5 months so assuming there are no multiple births, u should be able to have get 6 baby goats in 18 months increasing your herd to 9. So no matter what repaying back 3 goats is feasible. This is a no brainer and the fact that nairalanders cant see the merit of this is baffling. 4 Likes |
