it means you are starting the work with level 7 step 2. That is your salary level depending on the state your pay will be around 50+k monthly.

U are a senior staff, pay between 50 and 70k depending on d state and ministry.

Each level carries 3steps from level 7-14(The senior cadre)

Since you are starting from step 2 . It means after 2yrs, (i.e step 2 and step3) you are due for promotion to level 8 step 1.

The monetary value varies and depends on the MDA's

I advise u get ur facts right
Even grade 7 in ministry of health that seems to be among the highest paying ministries doesn't get 120k.
I strongly doubt u will get up to 85k even after adjustment of the minimum wage.

Op you are placed on salary grade level 7 step 2. Your take home pay is between N41-45k/month. Except you are in the teaching line, health or others that enjoy special allowances.

Don't mind those calling figures as if they are in APC.

HND entry level. Your take home pay will not be more than 55K even with the new minimum wage.

I will use Kwara State as an example. Level 7 Step II = ~₦26,000.

But if you're in a state paying the ₦18,000 minimum wage (Kwara State is yet to implement the ₦18k minimum wage of Jonathan era), then your salary should be 2 times whatever Kwara Civil Service pays staff on that level.
