He does. They had no clue. He came back from the war. They received him. Only now do some of them recall peculiarities. How there was always a strong smell of ginger around him. How he would always visit them at 2 or 3 in the morning. And you wouldn't hear the sound of a retreating okada or taxi.

Op things likes this do happen... There was a situation few years back when my mum friend called scolding my mum on how her junior sister was. She met her at oshodi and she didn't like how she looked pale and so on. Whereas the said junior sister has died a year before.

Very scary.

Things like this happens o, I have a friend whose elder sister died like 2 years back only to be seen by a childhood friend who dint know she was dead at Okoko market.

After like sometime the childhood friend was talking to my friend whose sister died 2years ago about how he saw his sister last month at the market, that was when they told him she died long ago.

What if death is a transition from one form of consciousness to another?

I had imagined some time ago that dead people could be all around but exist in a spiritual universe within our universe where matter, space and time becomes completely irrelevant to them.

This means that they (dead people) don't drag space with us, they also don't need time to do what they want to do or to be where they want to be, and material things e.g clothes, shoes, wall, cars etc are completely immaterial to them.

In 2016, around 8.30am I greeted my neighbour but she looked straight ahead and ignored my greetings. By 5pm same day someone came knocking on our door to inform my folks that the same lady died in accident that morning on Benin-Ore road.

Till date I'm still asking myself if I really saw the lady or someone who looks like her. The former is unthinkable...
