Hi Nairalanders,

I studied Mechanical engineering in one of the prestigious federal university and graduated with a high CGPA(>4.0). Over the years, I've done a number of online hustle and jobs, and for some reason I'm currently asking myself I learnt basic networking, network security, programming and ethical hacking.

I currently work for a security company as no engineering entry level jobs were forthcoming and I plan to do so for the next 2 years. Afterwards, I plan to do my master's degree in a foreign universities not really for the knowledge; more for the exposure because I plan to return and set up something in a few years to grow my beloved country.

And now it hit me a while back, where is my career going? What am I going to study that will bridge the gaps? Should I even bother studying for a Master's degree or just continue my current path and be adding more certifications? I really would like to use my engineering degree. I'm currently 23 years old.

Please senior colleagues in the house I need your advice and suggestions. If any typos my sincere apologies. Thanks.

It is better to focus on your area of strength, if it is IT then be the best... There are so many distractions, don't let your first degree limit or distract you.
