Yes FirstBank sacked more than 2,000 contract staff across all the beaches in Nigeria. the most affected contract staffs are those who have worked for 7 years above and salary is above 70,000

This happening because association of senior staff bankers are commencing strike on January 2, 2020 to demand for salary increment. So first bank is trying to lay off some contract staffs to cut cost.

Though firstbank will employ many new contract staffs but the salary will be reduce greatly.

I just hope all these rumours-uncomfirmed or confirmed does not have a side effect on our resumption. If it does, I think we should be aware of it, so we know what next step to take.

Because I don't understand anything again. It now seems that looking away from this job is even a safer bet. I don't just know.

Prospective conversion staff of FBN are currently doing their DM with White Cleon. The recruitment process is outsourced to White Cleon. They got their email on 20th, while some others got theirs the following day.

Guys FBN will eventually us. Let me not repeat what has been said earlier in of getting busy with other things, but for the sake of its importance we need to get busy with other things that improves our personal development or generates cash flow.

Eventually is will serve us well in TS but before then we will maintain healthy psych. The experience you gained working on a project might serve you well in TS.

While you have your daily task set out little time everyday to learn some courses on free platforms. Google some of them.

Check other jobs you're qualified for and apply. Who knows... I am not writing to suggest you forget about FBN, but to open your eyes to other things that will enhance your living.

Just like you, I am also waiting, but the problem is not waiting. It's how you spend your time while waiting.

They weren't actually sacked. This is how it works. From a reliable source. As a contract staff, you get a chance to get converted to a full staff after going through their exams and all.

After 5years of you failing to or meet those requirements, your contracts will be terminated.

So, FBN didn't sack those guys, their contracts were terminated by Whytecleon.

Plus those conversion staff resuming TS on the second of December will be in TS for just one Month.

Timely information, at least, there's now a time frame to work with. I see D/M January. TS February. All things been equal sha.

However, TS would likely not extend beyond March. I sha hope we are next in line after them?

I tink d conversion staff wil use up to 7 weeks in TS.
First becos d TS mail for GT stated 12 weeks but thy ended up using 15/16 weeks cos of extracurricular activities
Secondly, dey wil need to make up for d public holidays.
