If any lecturer is paranoid about young ladies, he can have someone with him, but that's not always feasible in real life. So if any student should make advances at him, he needs to make an official report of such an incidence and let the school senate or faculty board do their investigation of such an incidence. Not calling the student to advice them or whatever nonsense excuses to call the students.

To the best of my knowledge, in West Africa, an examination exercise is always invigilated by more than one lecturer and most times, the booklets are being sorted in the hall before they are handed over to the lecturer.
