most of this foreign born players are scattered all over because of Africa immigrants...those who left the shores of Africa in the 90s and early 2000....especially to the UK to study...many never returned but instead settled there.....the presence of large pool of Nigerians for example in the UK made it possible for them to maintain their culture and dialect.....i

I foresee this gonna be x20 say like 13-19 years from now...considering the large number of Nigerians running away from the country and never aim to return....

especially in Italy and other countries around Mediterranean...where large pool of Africans have whisked to Europe in recent times

Lololol.. In 20 yrs, Canada go hear am from us, all their teams will be filled with Nigerians

Osimhen is Africa’s third top marksman in Europe
punchng.com Oct 1, 2019 9:28 AM

Osimhen
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been ranked the third most prolific African scorer in Europe’s top five leagues so far in the 2019/20 season, Sports Extra reports.

According to Transfermarkt, the Nigeria striker, who has scored six goals in seven games for Lille, is behind Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal.

Both strikers have scored seven goals each.

The 20-year-old Osimhen averages a goal in every 117 minutes this season according to Transfermarkt, and he is 13th most prolific scorer in the overall list.

Osimhen will be aiming to extend his tally for Lille when they host Chelsea in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League matchday 2 clash at the Metropole stadium.

Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski tops the list with 11 goals from eight games and he is followed closely in second position by Torino’s Andrea Belotti, who has bagged 10 goals in eight games.

Sergio Aguero, Raul Jimenez, Abraham, Timo Werner, Facundo Ferreyra, Aubameyang, Paco Alcacer and Raheem Sterling complete the top 10 list.

Norwich’s Teemu Pukki and Moussa Dembele of Lyon are also ahead of the former Wolfsburg striker.

The guy's constant display and proof of his quality justifies Rohr's obsession with him. So the the old man absolutely has the right to.

Arsenal took a point to North London and are back in the top four following their entertaining 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Manager Unai Emery reserved special praise for the youngest player that started the game, Bukayo Saka after his outstanding performance.

The Hale End Academy product showed he's a player to keep an eye on and provided the assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal in the 58th minute, only confirmed after an offside decision was reversed by the video assistant referee.

Reflecting on the game, Emery told reporters post-match : ''He (Saka) is working and improving, being mature and playing matches.

''With his work it’s natural. He’s improving, he’s helping us now as an important player.

''We are going to go with him with calm and patience but also if he deserves to take minutes to have that confidence to help us it’s fantastic for us.''

The 18-year-old Saka has now made eight appearances in all competitions for Arsenal since his senior debut in November 2018.

I pray, Onyekuru to get more game time in Monaco. He is the Super Eagles winger with the highest rating according to FIFA 2020 player evaluation. He is rated 78, followed closely by Chukwueze with a grading of 76. Samuel Kalu is rated 75. Please, if you are a lover of Onyekuru, you can me in this fervent prayer.

just imagine.....

that's why we really need a very unbiased NFF and coach to reap from this in the nearest future.....

The way Africans especially Nigerians leave the shores of Africa to Europe and America with plans never to return is alarming more than what obtained in the 90s and early 2000s......

Nigerians are scattered all over reason why it is been projected that Nigeria may become the next CHINA.... and super world power likely if this can be well managed.....

that's not a problem...but the English FA can't get and cap them all.....

should they start littering the 3Lions players of Africa origin...it may raise protests among the cunny white racists and supremacist amongst the FA board....

even the full blooded English folks may protest against it...so only exceptional Nigerian origin players will surely get to play for the 3Lions at the expense of full blooded English players....

That would not stop them from cap-tieing as many as possible

The best bet is to set up academies and train our own so that we don't always have to poach products of British academies

It doesn't matter.. He hasn't denied his Nigerian identity and he hasn't refused to honor a Nigeria call up.

U said it man. The senior national team is for the best and the best alone be it local or foreign born
tbaba1234:

Let us address this.

The national team is for the best Nigerian players. Inviting a local player to the national team does not improve grassroots football.

To improve grassroots football, we need to focus on improving the league AND the club structures. The clubs themselves need to be more professional. Improve the standard of coaches employed in the league. You will not achieve this by inviting poor players to the super eagles.

North African countries have some of the best leagues in Africa but they still get their best players from Europe.

Improving the local league does not mean local players will make the national team. We need to get it up to a top standard for that to happen. It will however improve the lives of players in Nigeria and open up opportunities for them to go to better teams abroad.

The success of our basketball team is simply because we got the best NBA players available. No matter how we improve our local basketball league, it will take decades to catch up with the NBA.

If we want our super eagles to be able to compete with the best, we must try to get the best eligible Nigerian players. Sentiments will not help us produce a solid team.

You expect him to call a press conference and declare his intenson to play for Nigeria without a formal approach by the NFF?

Not that simple.. Josh Maja, Joe Aribo, Iwobi did not suddenly declare to play for Nigeria

Wearing Naija jersey does not equate readiness to play for Nigeria...

you don't even know English national team at all......
you think they cap tie every dick and harry?

you mean we should ignore Nigerians born abroad and focus on home groomed player?

can't we make use of both foreign and home groomed players to build the national team?

setting up local academics where the money will be stolen by one football or many football s, the structures will be allow to rot all because of non-maintenance culture shouldn't stop us from calling up foreign groomed players.....

you're not more Nigerian than any of the Nigerians born and groomed abroad.....

sentiments shouldn't be rationale for picking up players for the national team......
let Nigeria go after the foreign born players we believe and think we add value to our national team......
