Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has nominated a 26-year-old for a commissioner role in his istration, Igbere TV reports.

The chief press secretary of the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, made this known in a statement obtained by Igbere TV on Tuesday.

Joana Nnazua Kolo, 26, is from the Edu local government area of the state.

Ms Kolo, the youngest commissioner-nominee in the state’s history, is a 2018 graduate of Library Science from the Kwara State University (KWASU).

She is an ardent advocate of community development.

The governor also nominated three other women in his prospective cabinet.

Mrs Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, Arinola Fatimoh Lawal and Aisha Ahman Pategi were among the names forwarded to the House of Assembly.

Mrs. Folashade Omoniyi was also nominated as the new Chairperson of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS).

All the commissioners in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s et al, with their wealth of experience, what have they been able to bring to the table for the development of the state they have served and serving?

It has been proven over time that political appointments in Nigeria are compensation for cash and kind expended prior to the election and reward to all that have contributed to the election of the winner.
I’m lill sure this young lady is a lamb reaping the entitlement meant for her father/mother for the role played during the electoral activities. Probably the father/mother isn’t capable or bigger than the role.

Please let her enjoy the offer while it lasts and pardon her inexperience.

Yall be complaining that youths are not being appointed and then dont hesitate to make headlines of 26 years old being appointed commissioner. Why no headlines when people who ruled your parents are ruling you? People close to 100 for that matter. Abeg leave matter for Matthias.

Time for Ms.kolo to loot her incoming generation with her own loot.
We complained of Old Cargo politician and blame them also for not including youth in their appointment, but what do we get back from the same youth that has been included? loot,loot and embezzlement from the federal to local government, not to mention Yaya BELLO and others.


Either Youth or Old Cargos politicians, I don't trust and believe in them because Nigeians mentality is "I reach their I loot my own and my generation " .



Anyways 26 abi youth o Matter o, it's only takes the grace of God to have a good leader esp. Our GOAT in looting kind of politicians...
