Hello guys, I had my interview at the German embassy yesterday & it was largely uneventful. Got to the embassy just after 6, was told to come back around 6:30 since my appointment was for 7am. I went to the park, some of those guys tried to smooth talk me but I just smiled & told them I had everything I needed. Killed some time at the park & went back to the embassy around 6:35 or thereabout.
I wasn't surprised to meet a couple of people on the queue already, and Paulinus started callling docs for 3 or so student visa applicants. There was this fair lady that incurred the 'wrath' of Paulinus, though she really didn't have a problem as I made her understand later on. Paulinus asked for Confirmation of Blocked opening whether you have funded or not. This lady told him she had funded but had the confirmation in her email! Na there gbege start so. She was sent to the back & wanted to go look for somewhere to print the confirmation.
Na long story sha, but I noticed she had the Make the transfer doc, and told her that was enough to get her in even though she had funded already. She really didn't have to tell Paulinus she doesn't have the confirmation in her email. I told her I had the same doc & haven't funded, & i was pretty sure it won't be a problem. All she had to do was tell the VO she'd be sending the blocking confirmation after the interview.
When it got to my time, I arranged the docs with one other guy. Pretty straightforward if you ask me as long as you follow this thread & know what to expect.
Got inside, waited maybe 10 mins & was asked to enter cubicle 2. The VO was a young, dark lady with long braids. She was kinda casual with her approach & actually excused herself to go gist twice while she was asking basic questions & typing away on her pc. I was like, really? I sighted the the woman with the coloured dreadlocks inside too.
She didn't even signify when the interview proper started, the questions were the usual questions here, & she didn't even ask me half of the questions I was expecting. However she kept asking is that all? when I answered the few questions she asked me.
Now, the part that I really did not like was that there was no phone (or i didn't see one) from my own end of the partition. She practically expected me to shout, which I didn't like at all. I mean I can almost reach out & touch her if not for the glass partition & you expect me to shout like we are 10 meters apart? I didn't think that was good enough.
The last question she asked me was my plans after study, I answered her & she told me the interview was over. I'm not sure I even said thanks, just gently packed my stuff & left. Another odd thing was, she didn't verbally ask me about funding or advise me to fund immediately like I have read about for some VOs on here. Although, she gave me two other forms to fill which covers the issue of funding & the email it should be sent to.

It was the same woman who interviewed me , . She just said we get back to you. And I asked her when latest should I find she said I should read the paper they gave to me. So bro have you funded it’s well.

mail fintiba to give you a new blocking agreement.you can them on their website. i had a blocking agreement for 8829, but i mailed them and they changed it to 10425 for me

I had my interview on the 31st of July, sent my Blocking Confirmation of 8,604 on August 2, yet I got a mail yesterday requesting I send my blocking confirmation of the new 10,236 for my Visa to be processed (kindly find attached). I've resent the Blocking Confirmation though, and have had the new amount transferred as well but Fintiba is not giving me a new Blocking Confirmation to that effect, all I got is a new statement reflecting the new amount.
Is there any other person experiencing this? What should I do?

In the above mentioned visa application, you are kindly asked to submit the following documents:
- proof of a funded blocked with a monthly disposability of 853 € OR official German declaration of sponsorhip (“Verpflichtungserklärung”) for the purpose of studies given before the competent German authority

Same Lady that interviewed me, she was nice, same questions, she was suprised when i showed dat i had funded 10425 , asked me when i funded, she also asked me to shout too, overall it went well

she's and some of them are but she's new and small girl she just they carry the work for head abeg make she no just winch guys ooo we jump her .
She was the one that turned someone back for booking cat A with HND while the other VO accept same on same day this babe na something else

Your sister needs to do this research herself. PhD is not like Msc or BSc where you just apply. To get ission she needs to go to a school's website, look for professors/lecturers and reach out to them. She needs to write a research proposal based on what she wants to do PhD for and send it to the various professors. If they are interested then they'll her for PhD.
PhD is not for the faint of heart. Research has to be in your blood. No one can do this for her.
If she simply wants to migrate to to be with her fiancee then let her follow the family reunion route first. Then when she gets there it'll be easier to do the PhD.

There is nothing like 50% of blocked , even with 99.99%, as long as the stated amount on your transfer agreement is not complete you will not get blocking confirmation, therefore it's not an option, at least as much as I know.
And concerning SL, from my own experience it might reduce your chances greatly. The income of the person standing in as a sponsor is important, even if his income is great you will still have to consider other things like how many people are dependent on him and stuffs like that and I am very sure the alien office in Berlin will do "calculus" on those factors before making their decision, especially now that the monthly allowance has increased from 720 to 853 euro.
So my best bet is that if you can strive hard to get the 10,236 euro plus additional costs you should be on a safer side, good thing is that it's still your money.
That being said, there might be better opinions than mine, but I feel you should do well by my advice.
You are welcome, feel free to ask more, will be glad to help as much as I can, learned so much from this thread than not to give back.

From your description I'm 100% sure shes the one that interviewed me. Wen I got to the embassy on my date I saw her walk in casually. In fact from her dressing I told myself maybe she's a cleaner. No offense meant, but she was way to casual in her dressing for me to think otherwise.
When it got to my turn I walked to her, then I said to myself OK maybe she should be the one to confirm my docs and biometrics hoping that she will move me to another cubicle for my interview surprisingly she started asking me questions. She asked if I was single or married, I was almost upset and was almost going to tell her to look at my form I filled for that information. I changed my mind and politely answered her. When she started asking more questions like what am I going to do in , the course, my project topic, and the usual questions, that's when it dawned on me that I just started my interview.
She also kept asking is that all? And each time I had to add a word or two to what I'd already said. I didn't panic one bit afterwards though cuz to me it felt like a formality. So chill. And I know she's a Nigerian she will not deliberately do anything to scupper your chances. Since you've funded I think you should relax and wait for your AM. Note that I funded after the interview

I don't have any concrete information about ADs and I don't want to be accused of misleading someone again.
My simple advice is that you follow through the thread, read from around July when dates started getting scarce. You'll see information that might be of help. All the best.

1. You should have waited till you got a date before funding.
2. Read through the thread, this date issue has been a major issue and discussed extensively. If you read through you'll surely get information that'll be of help.

If she's not into research or interested in research, let her not follow the PhD route. She should simply go through family reunion route.
