As a chelsea who watched the match, I will say chelsea should not take much from the game.

It's a preseason friendly. Barca is not match fit. Thats their first preseason game and chelsea has played 2 already.

Finishing is still an issue for chelsea especially in the striker department. Tammy missed a tap in, in the earlier stage of the game similar to yakubu ayegbeni blunder. Presure will now be on Pulisic to score goals when strikers are not doing their work. Same problem with hazard.

On the positve side...Pulisic is like Hazard when we first bought him. His game yesterday shows he is a good replacement.

Ladies and gentlemen, Joginho is reborn. Hands down the best chelsea player right now.

Kovacic is a bomb this season. Very gud investment by chelsea.

That lampard midfield arrangement will ensure Kante is not missed when injured.

Finally, the ban can be a blessing in disguise for chelsea cuz the team is looking gud with talents already and consider some chelsea golden boys are still injured or holiday. William, kante, loftus cheek, rudiger.

Lampard is gathering a good group of youngsters at Chelsea and empowering them. Pulisic, Mason Mount, Hudson Odoi, Abraham, Kepa etc. All he needs is give these guys more confidence and to get them to be firing on a more regular basis and also mix in some needed experience in the likes of David Luiz, Kante, Azpilicueta etc and he could end up with an exciting and vibrant team. I'm not a Chelsea er but we need everyone firing on all cylinders if Man City are to be challenged this season and for the PL to remain as competitive as always.

This season looks good for us already. Maybe Abraham can finally bring the no.9 jersey curse.

My only fear is if Lampard would be able to accomodate all these youngsters in first team.

who be Chelsea? I wouldn't give a damn if Chelsea lost a friendly game. I hope they gave you a trophy you can mention at the end of the season.

The only club friendly games I could take seriously would be Barca vs Madrid (El Classico is always special), Barca vs Juve (obviously because of Messi and Ronaldo) or City vs Liverpool (the two teams worth any attention in the EPL right now).
