Yesterday a Nigerian Hr and job recruiter posted on her LinkedIn wall for an open vacancy for a bike dispatcher in Ikeja area of Lagos for her client who is into social payment, transportation, food & grocery delivery.

Her post has got few Nigerians talking and below is the basic requirements for one to get the job of bike dispatcher as she wrote with screenshots


Below are the requirements as she wrote:

REQUIREMENT

1. B.Sc/HND holder

2. Must be able to provide two guarantors

3. Must have motorcycle driving license 4. Must be conversant with Lagos road.

5. Must reside in Lagos

Salary: 150,000/200,000 monthly

Na because of the salary of N150k /200k. They are thinking how can we pay pesin who no go school such.

They will get more than enough applications. That's how the country be. That's what BSc BA HND has qualified to do.
Who we go blame? Or should we now demand for a law that excludes certain people with certain qualification from doing?

Why can't a B, SC or HND holder apply for such a job?

What's the usefulness of B.Sc degree with a grade?

The salary is the reason na. Some masters graduates don't even receive such as salary, its more in the applicants favor in my opinion.

Most companies pay field workers higher. Now wouldn't you prefer the recruitment process favors graduates? Looking at the renumeration for the job , its only fair that the process favors graduates .


Even some masters graduates don't even earn up to that, what's the use of certificate when your take home pay cannot even take you home after deducting feeding and house rent?

Besides ,its a company, and they want to increase their chances of having a responsible employee and increase their customer feed back. Imagine hiring a street agbero as a dispatcher. To me this favors the graduate more .
