What. She dare had a reprisal attack back to a nurse. I'd just leave her like that since she's claiming prowess power. Others too are attended in such form. Who's she. Sigh.

I would have preferred she slapped the hell out of the nurse.

Not every patient is easy to bleed, some times you have to use different techniques to find that vein, vein finders come in handy in such situations, but they are like $5000 for quality ones..

I did blood work here in the US just 2 weeks ago.
My vein was searched for.....no machine or whatever was used. My arm was tied and i was poked with a needle.

There are still so many hospitals in the western world that use the nigerian method of cannulation. Not all Hospitals, infact majority of the hospitals do not use this technology.Let's stop making ourselves look bad.And please,I practice in the western world.

THEY THOUGHT BECAUSE YOU ANSWER COUNTRY ACTUALLY QUALIFIES YOU AS A COUNTRY...
SOME AFRICAN CONTRAPTION WAS CALLED COUNTRY JUST TO ENABLE FLOW OF OIL.... SOON IT WILL BE OUT OF DEMAND then you understand THE COUNTRY THAT WAS ADDED TO YOUR CAGE IS USELESS

Nigerian patients are very ungrateful. All the sacrifices health workers make go unnoticed. How many can afford to pay for technology ? Ask them to pay N5000 for card and they will grumble from now till eternity. Yet they demand modern technology

Hmmm....
Some will beat your hand like say them be beater. One nurse tried ot with my wife and got a resounding slap back on her own hands in retaliation.
I find it hard to decide if I am more irritated at your being ungrateful at someone trying their best despite the unfavourable circumstances or how proud you are of yourself. Why didmt you set the line yourself at home? Nigerians sha

Please let's stop making ourselves look bad.I work in the west as a practitioner and I have never used this before.I myself had some blood tests done some weeks ago and I can tell you I was pricked about 8 times.
Even Nigerians that haven't been outside the country before, will end up comparing the country in a bad light.I am not saying things are perfect but let us change our character nationally and see the country grow.

This is not used routinely, it's only used for patients that are difficult to cannulate...........

Which technology, how many hospitals use it?!

I know a woman who was pricked 24 times (in the US) before they got her line (anesthesiologist included).

The doctor that saw her in Naija, when she had Tonsillitis, pricked her once!

Nigerians are just ungratefully stupid and they will always get what they deserve

Meanwhile, this machine is mainly found in the OR.It is not as if you find it on the wards.Making it look as if it is commonly found in every hospital or ward abroad is false.

If a child is plumpy and no hope of getting a vein the head is shaved and the doctor will make use of the vein on the head.
Saw this for real life
my cousin had a baby some years back.the nurse wanted to give the new born baby drips, she used the vain on the head..while trying to remove the plaster and the needle, she applied force and the baby's skin followed the plaster...up till now,the young lady doesn't have hair in that region..this happened in UBTH

And you are getting the service your payment can afford. Or is she miraculously supposed to locate a deep vein because you paid 100 naira for cannula? Or you think an average Nigerian will pay thousands just to set a line? This country sha!!!

You can say that again!!! Instead of blaming the stupid government who have failed to develop the health sector, they blame medical practitioners who work in insane conditions. As if, they themselves work in optimum conditions in their respective workplaces.

That's why the Boko Haram negotiator dearly beloved by sophisticated Coneheads keeps running to London for treatment after he refused to equip the hospitals and develop the health sector
