Not every patient is easy to bleed, some times you have to use different techniques to find that vein, vein finders come in handy in such situations, but they are like $5000 for quality ones..

There are still so many hospitals in the western world that use the nigerian method of cannulation. Not all Hospitals, infact majority of the hospitals do not use this technology.Let's stop making ourselves look bad.And please,I practice in the western world.

THEY THOUGHT BECAUSE YOU ANSWER COUNTRY ACTUALLY QUALIFIES YOU AS A COUNTRY... SOME AFRICAN CONTRAPTION WAS CALLED COUNTRY JUST TO ENABLE FLOW OF OIL.... SOON IT WILL BE OUT OF DEMAND then you understand THE COUNTRY THAT WAS ADDED TO YOUR CAGE IS USELESS |

Nigerian patients are very ungrateful. All the sacrifices health workers make go unnoticed. How many can afford to pay for technology ? Ask them to pay N5000 for card and they will grumble from now till eternity. Yet they demand modern technology

Lovelyn451:Please let's stop making ourselves look bad.I work in the west as a practitioner and I have never used this before.I myself had some blood tests done some weeks ago and I can tell you I was pricked about 8 times. Even Nigerians that haven't been outside the country before, will end up comparing the country in a bad light.I am not saying things are perfect but let us change our character nationally and see the country grow. 3 Likes |

Which technology, how many hospitals use it?! I know a woman who was pricked 24 times (in the US) before they got her line (anesthesiologist included). The doctor that saw her in Naija, when she had Tonsillitis, pricked her once! Nigerians are just ungratefully stupid and they will always get what they deserve 8 Likes |

Meanwhile, this machine is mainly found in the OR.It is not as if you find it on the wards.Making it look as if it is commonly found in every hospital or ward abroad is false.

HBB1:You can say that again!!! Instead of blaming the stupid government who have failed to develop the health sector, they blame medical practitioners who work in insane conditions. As if, they themselves work in optimum conditions in their respective workplaces. 6 Likes |
