I'm 20 years old and a lil bit busty
I don't have the courage to go to the hospital cus I'm scared the doctor will tell me that the lumps have advanced to cancer.
I really need advice from you all and also some words of encouragement

The way people type with so much confidence never ceases to amaze me. When similar situation arises now, na you go japa! Na only mouth you get. I'll single handedly fish you out if ever it gets to that situation (which I'm positive it wouldn't).

I write this with a heavy heart. It started a few years back when I was still in secondary school. I noticed i had a lump in one of my breast but I didn't take it serious because I assumed i was too young for that.
Later on, i noticed that the lumps were about 3 in each breast and i was damn scared.
I told my mom about it and she said we would go to the hospital so it would be removed and I became more scared.
I imagined how they would cut me open 3times on each breast.I went to a hospital then and they ran a test and identified a lump then said i should go for a mammography but I didn't go cus money wasn't coming through then
My mom organized for a man in our area (he operates on people but he is not a doctor)he said he would give me an injection that will merge the lumps together so that it will be easy to operate.
Some of my aunties didn't the idea cus he is not a doctor and they said I'm also too young to be going to quacks .
Late last year i felt a strange pain in a part of my breast and I started crying(not for the pain) but the thought of me having cancer. I told my mom and she became very worried but i told her that it wasn't serious so she could stop worrying.
Today that kind of pain started again. Though not serious but I'm just too scared

It's simple. Find a reputable hospital and lodge your complaints. Even if you're eventually operated on, the lumps removed MUST be taken to a laboratory for further investigations. Shalom.

I went to my school clinic and met the doctor on duty.I explained everything to him and he gave me 4points to prove that its not cancer.
AGE-He said i should only be scared of cancer when I'm 30 yrs and above, that cancer rarely occur at my age.
BILATERAL-He said cancerous lumps doesn't occur in the two breasts.
NO DISCHARGE-He said since I don't discharge fluids or blood then its not cancer.
PAIN-he said cancer pain starts when it has become advanced and that the pain I feel might be due to hormone(estrogen)
I was happy at least that it hasn't gotten very serious but I was still crying. He then said I should come back on Tuesday so he will refer me for a scan because it seems like it's the only thing that will convince me

Your doctor is correct. If its cancer it won't attack both breast or rather in very rare cases and such case will be metastasis as such person would have been critically ill. The lump is not the only pointer of breast cancer, many are walking with the cell that's why its good to get screened to rule out any anomaly. The lump most likely may be noncancerous. I knew a lady then that had lumps in the breast and it later dissolved.
