Hello all and welcome to this thread. This new year, I believe a lot of people have resolutions and plans they intend to achieve this year and for the future. I am a strong believer in the saying "Knowledge (the right information) is Power" hence having the right information from people's experiences and legit sources can lead to the achievement of our goals. Now, for those of us who are intending to migrate to for work or family re-union purposes, it is very vital to get the right information on processes and guidance to successful acquiring of your visum (visa). Here we go, first, it will be very important to visit the German Consulate official website, try to know the legit site as opposed to third-party, clone sites, or random Google site results. The official site of the German Consulate in Nigeria is https://nigeria.diplo.de, there you can find a lot of information regarding types of visas, booking appointments, and requirements. I believe there are Nigerians out there in who have gone through this process in the past few years that can share their experience with us, which is always helpful. I have questions and well as I can answer questions of my journey to this stage, I have also been able to share and answer questions on other threads that can help. So let's begin this journey by helping each other one question and answer at a time for the right information is the power that will help us achieve our goals. Thank you. 16 Likes 3 Shares |

There are a lot of start up technology companies in Berlin that are looking to employ foreign talents. If you have the skills you can start searching and applying for jobs online, like I got mine on Xing.com but there are job portals like berlinstartupjobs.com and you can search on Google for jobs in Berlin. It is important not to give up when you get rejection mails from one or two companies these things happen but keep on applying as there are so many other companies that will like your profile. Check out companies like AUTO-1, Project A, N26, Smava GmbH etc... They are always recruiting. Godson1988: 11 Likes 4 Shares |

I am applying for family reunion visa. Had my interview in October and I guess verification is complete even though I didn't get an email on that. My spouse has a blue card and has been invited to the foreign office for an interview next week. God's willing we'll get a favourable response this month.

Sam8850: 1:37am On Jan 05, 2019 |
Great news and we wish you good luck. I have a number of questions I'd like to ask regarding the application process. 1. Did the Verification Officer visit the entire family you listed on the forms? 2. Did you do any document verification? 3. Since your spouse has a blue card you are not required to show proof of language, was this asked for? Thanks. Triumphantglory: 1 Like |

I guess I didn't mention this before, your first degree is very key, and yes, you will be able to get jobs here in Nigeria. Learning online is also more about improving your existing skills or learning a new skill to get you an edge in that field or at least be a decent candidate. lordally: |
