The young man was apprehended as part of an international investigation into online 'love scams' and 'mystery shopper' schemes that made victims lose at least $2 million (N724million) over the past two years. Mr Kwam1, pls your son was charged with a crime, he has the right under the Bill of Rights to be released on bail on reasonable and conditions, that doesn't mean he's completely innocent.

It is highly unlikely that he would be arrested in the first place if he was not somehow involved. This is America and not Nigeria. They would have been done with investigation before making any arrest

The reason he was released on bail is a factor of many reasons: Degree of involvement, nationally and ability to post bond
