you are exclusively right. That kind of union is totally bad for the kids. When the kids grow up, they reason that its now ok for couples to live apart, hence they dont even take the institution of marriage serious. We are teaching the next generation fallacy.

Except both houses are on the same street I do not see how the son will manage going to school from two different houses every week if the distance is far? It will wear him out! How old is the son? Does he take school bus? Does the school bus pick and drop him from both houses every week? Is the school bus driver in agreement with picking the son from the different houses every week? Do you drop your kids off at school yourselves? Is it convenient for both wife and husband to pay rents for two different houses yearly? I have many questions that I probably will not get an answer to because the story is most likely false.
