So the 5w30 you posted was on the website and not at the Total Station in Osun. When you go to their website for Nigeria, they claim that they sell the oil locslly and you go to their outlets and they will be looking at you like dundee utd. The Q9000 5w40 was not full synthetic, it was a synthetic blend. Let us hope they are bringing the new generation oils this time around

It may be a calamity to buy a Nigerian used camry that has been on 20w50 and start using 5w30.

I did that in my 2002 Toyota Camry and it start running like new one.

Finally saw the new Total 5w30 engine oil. Good initiative from Total though late but better than never. Another good thing is that they have dexron 6 transmission fluid that's is ideal for a lot of our modern cars. Dw1 s have a better choice now and Toyota, Nissan, Peugeot and many others. The gear oil is 3500 per liter, so no more deadly fluide iid. I will wait for the spec sheet from them before I can comment but the engine oil has a lot of approvals especially the elusive Peugeot B71 series.

It is a sign that these companies know that they are doing evil to us. Imagine the cars that their old oils have destroyed. The fluide iid that was made for 1979 cars being sold in 2017. Now that they have improved, let's deal with the other oil sellers. Since 2009, cars have been using 0w20 and no Nigerian oil company is producing the oil for our cars. Pity

Yes. Ah that our E class. Dexron 3h will fit in. Look for that product. Don't trust Oando anyway . Total also has fluide at 42. Might help as well but I can't recall the spec sheet. I used to have it as far back as 2012.

But then, there arises the issue of backward compatibility. My transmission calls for a dextron 4. I’m still researching to see if one can really substitute with the dextron 6.

There is nothing like dexron 4 except you mean type tiv. It is backward compatible. Funny enough, I am going to lose money because of this Atf because it is a six speed gear oil and mine Syngard is 6 speed but more expensive

I've been using 20w50 b4 and don't want to switch to other brand, I spoke to both Toyota, Total and Exxon Mobil in US, I was told u can switch with no issue and none of their client ever complain about car been damaged after they switched, anybody with such experience shud Pls come forward

True. I got Total IID and was disappointed to see Dextron II D grade.
