Isa Misau and Rafiu Ibrahim, senators representing Bauchi central and Kwara south respectively, have warned against any move to impeach Senate President Bukola Saraki.

They said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in the senate outnumber those of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Saraki left the APC for PDP after the ruling party lost 15 of its in the upper legislative chamber.

The leadership of the ruling party subsequently asked him to resign, having ed a “minority” party.

Abu Ibrahim, senator representing Katsina south, had said : “Let him be gentleman enough and resign as senate president. If he does not, we will never have peace in that senate because it is absolutely clear that APC has majority to produce the leadership.”

Reacting via a t statement on Saturday, Misau and Ibrahim said the Katsina senator’s threat “has given us an insight into what they are planning and we will be ready for them”.

“His statements showed why one of them led thugs to disrupt the proceeding of the senate, steal the mace, the symbol of authority of the legislature, and yet there is no consequence,” they said.

“APC should note that they are now the minority party. PDP has more . When we resume, if they push us, we will move for a head count of and change some of our principal officers to reflect party strength.

“Today, by the list paraded by APC themselves, they have only 48 Senators and PDP has 54, APGA has 2 and ADC has 2. There are two vacancies. That is the distribution in the senate. Let them continue to deceive themselves.

“We will use our strength to defend the position of the present leadership of the senate. We urge him and his colleagues to know that if they tried anything illegal and indecent, we will resist it through legal means.”

How did they conclude they are majority without headcount? It seems hallucination from drinking too much alcohol has not departed them.

APC has 54 while PDP has 48 Senators right now. The two by-elections coming up next week in Bauchi and Katsina will be won by APC. So that would make the number of their Senators 56, PDP 48, APGA 2, ADC 2 and one expelled Senator.

What I noticed at all these drama was that apc was so sure of themselves they didn't take proactive measures.
They didn't have any plan B or C etc on ground. Only Buhari and the security chiefs which is still only Buhari.

Pdp on the other hand laid low and was lobbying and liaising with everybody and nobody. To them everybody is very important. When Buhari suppose talk, encourage the citizens even though things were hard or simply use one member of his cabinet accused of corruption to do eye service, he was so full of himself that they were shocked at what's happening.

As they don't have any plan, the obvious thing is to prosecute,impeach or blackmail anybody against them and its so obvious to even children.
Buhari would have retired and still get the good will of the people despite the hardship.
His handlers are simply using him as I can see that the man don't have guys at all.

Foreign media hasn't said anything good about him, they should see that as a sign. If not for shame and pride, amaechi and few others would have left too.
A very rigid and weak man isn't to working for
