The fastest top up online is through the quick teller option.
Once you to your dashboard via https://www.stanbicibtcfundsmanagement.com
Click on top up and follow the link.

Or you follow the direct link :http://www.quickteller.com/siaml

But if you want to use the mobile app, you will do a transfer to
name :FIRST TRUSTEES /Stanbic IBTC Money market
fund
number :9202476223
After which you will have to send your transaction ID /reference ID to [email protected] (although this option has become obsolete)

But it's more advisable to use the quick teller option for online top up.

Good afternoon to the mutual fund gurus. I have patiently read this thread from the beginning. But I will like to ask some few questions.

1. I observed that the interest rate of top mutual fund managers does not differ too much, so besides the rate, which of:
(a) ARM
(b) Stanbic IBTC or
(c) Investment One, is more suitable to invest in base on:

(i) Good customer service
(ii) Transparency
(iii) Ease of tracking your investment
(iv) Ease to top-up more funds and cash out and
(v) Pay tax-free interest and quick compounding interest to original capital (not waiting till quarterly).

2. Secondly, people here have constantly held the position that Balanced Fund is a better investment choice than MMF for long-term investment even though the interest rate for Balanced Fund is lesser than MMF, can someone explain why. I have attached and asteric the interest rate for both Balanced Fund and MMF for two mutual fund managers (ARM and Stanbic) as at today.

To help me get quality advice, my investment plan is long-term (Maybe 7yrs and compounding the interest) and maybe spread 5m across different of fund type.

Experience gurus, help me with advice to help me optimised my portfolio. THanks

Hello prospective investors, if you are interested in opening a Stanbic IBTC Money market fund, if you need guidance on how to fill the form, I have a PDF copy of an already filled form from STANBIC bank herself, the form serves as a guiding template.
It is free of charge. Happy Sunday.

For your number one question, the three investment houses you listed are all very good and offer your options in (i) to (v).
It's good if you make your choice based on personal convenience.

For your number two, as regards the dichotomy between balanced fund and money market fund...
It depends on what you want as an investor...
The balanced fund has a higher ratio for equities than the money market fund, and you know, higher investment in equities could mean bigger profit or bigger loss in the long term, depending on your risk appetite.
The money market fund is highly conserved and specially tailored for people with low risk appetite, who still seek capital appreciation.
The risk of capital erosion is not the same in both funds...

Thanks so much bro for the clarification.

It's safe therefore to start with MMF as a beginner and also as Balance Fund is not performing better at the moment.

Starting with MMF is not a bad idea at all, at least you could gain some valuable experience and 'know how' at the lowest risk possible, while watching your capital appreciate.
Considering the initial capital you intend to start with and the number of years, (from your previous post), I think the MMF will not disappoint you.

Our Economy is going right, the rates have to naturally go left to attain 'equilibrium'...
That time the rates were as high as 18.5, The Economy was still doing press up to start the race back to the ' top'.

No, you wouldn't have to send anything because the link contains a procedure that includes inputting your number which automatically indicates a top up.
