Consequent upon the directive of the Commissioner of Police, D. P Yakadi,, on the operatives of the Command to redouble their efforts in crime fighting in the State, the operatives of Niger State Police Command on different operations carried out in Suleja, Mashegu, Madalla and Tafa arrested nineteen (19) suspects and recovered exhibits for offences ranging from Kidnapping, cattle rustling, armed robbery, impersonation and unlawful possession of firearms.

Among the arrested suspects is a 25-year-old man identified as Sanusi Aliyu from Kutiriko Fadikpe, Bosso LGA, who raped a 10-year-old Fatima Umar. The suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The Niger State Police Command will sustain the onslaught on criminals in the State and at the same time solicit for of Nigerlites in giving useful and timely information to the Police and other security agencies.
