At 36 weeks, is your baby considered full term? (U know thats a whole 4 weeks before the normal 40 weeks). And then by mathematics, 36 weeks is actually 9 months (but why do they give us 10 month - 40weeks? Huh?)

Why I'm asking is that, at 36 weeks, would they still need to put the baby in an incubator? Is 36 weeks still considered pre-term?

I'll appreciate ur answers..thanks

Technically, the first 2 weeks(waiting period after af), you are not pregnant. That's why they say +/- 2weeks from 40 weeks.
However, 36 weeks may not need incubator I've seen them survive. Though 37 weeks is ful term in the US.

Yes teamie, I stay I in Warri. I really don't know how Ekpan operates sha but during my first pregnancy a lot of people advised I use Central than Ekpan and that's where I used then and am using now.

36wks is approx 9months (my aunt gave birth to all her children at 36wks via vd by inducement) and not pre-term(Google will tell you otherwise shaa).Some babies born at 34/35wks self don't need incubator too. Why they give us 40weeks? Dunno dear, na so e dey before them born me

No. Your baby is considered full term officially at 37 weeks. 9 months pregnancy isn't medical, it's just become a part of us, pregnancy is medically 10 months ( they have included 2 weeks cos no one know exactly when conception happened, hence plus or minus 2 weeks)

Having said that, the decision to put a baby in the incubator depends on how the baby is when he/she comes out. Some babies are born at 34/35 weeks and are fine, some aren't. It still boils down to the plus or minus 2 weeks and actual date of conception

I had my elective CS scheduled.... preparing for the date and all, but my baby was ready to come sooner (i guess) labour signs and all, the doc decided i go in earlier cause i no wan hear story.
I have had 2 previous CS and i was doing dagbo but when the hour came anyways our baby was brought out safe, i didn't loose blood, i am recovering well... we praise God. May God take us all through this journey in Jesus name.

I know they hear us I always speak to mine and baby does what I ask. At first it seemed odd talking to my belly especially before baby started moving but i got used to it and baby will kick in response.
