Hey guy, i did jupeb but let me tell you this, you might think the exam is simple or Jupeb is simple (Just chill coz this is first semester so they have to entice you with soft works) . going for med and surg. you need to have the whole 15 point + the 1 mark making 16 or else u might find urself in agric dept. Guy, just continue with pharmacy and dont waste your money, but if you think you can really smash Jupeb, lemme ask you, are you the best in the class? If more than 15 people are better than you the forget med surg, but if you really believe in your competency then go for med/surg. I wish you luck but if you were my lil bro, i would edify you to go for pharmacy. Best regards..Shola

im currently a medical student in Ansu and if you ask me,just go for the pharmacy..getting medicine is really hard now plus the high fees.. pharmacy is a lot better and safe..so you dont end up wasting your time.start with the pharmacy then if by God's grace you get medicine, then you switch. Deferment is really hard here.. 1 Like |

I think u shud go for pharmacy. If ur really as brilliant as u d urself, why dnt u get medicine straight through jamb in a federal university. Stop deceiving urself Nd focus on one. My 1cent sha 1 Like |

My own advice for you is to go for pharmacy. But if your heart is really for medicine then take Jamb again next year and see how it goes. Getting ission in this country is really tough. This jupeb is too expensive and a big risk when you consider the money.

[quote author=sirxris post=63314886]I advise that you defer the pharmacy ission for one year. Then focus on the JUPEB during the one year. Then at the end of the year, if you couldn't measure with the direct entry requirement via JUPEB, you then go back to your earlier pharmacy ission. this advice is so because med/surg is better than pharmacy if your head and purse can carry it. But then, if you can't get it, at least you can get the second best to it - pharmacy. But one caveat is to never try to do both at same time. you may likely lose out on both ends if you do so because your C GPA would likely suffer.[/quote JUPEB doesn't make use of CGPA.. It makes use of point.... A is 5 B is 4 C is 3 D is 2 E is 1 F is 0....She's going for medicine she'll write Physics /Chemistry/Biology......the cutoff for medicine is 13 points.... You're still not guaranteed of the ission oh.... Cause some that had lower points will work it or the people that got higher points are much so they'll pick the best..... In the end it's not worth it... Go for pharmacy.... Jupeb made me know how sweet it is for someone to be doing botany... |

Go and ask between pharmacy and MBBS which is better. Dnt ask frm diz small children in nairaland. Ask frm doctors or lecturers u would get my view. No offence BT u guys no ntin abt pharmacy. So stop d noice

Jman06: Shut up Monkey boy!!! Tell me where I criticised a sales rep's job. Why are you thinking with your Anus? Read my post again and tell me where I said a sales rep's job is bad. Who is more informed? I was a medical sales rep for a foremost pharmaceutical giant in Nigeria for 4 years. Again i say, Shut up Monkey boy!! |
Jman06(m): 10:38am On Dec 16, 2017 |
GambaOsaka:Id1otic imbeciile! Your post was very clear to me. You implied that the poster shouldn't study pharmacy because she will end up as a sales rep. I know you type of 'medical rep'. All those B.Sc biochemistry/microbiology with zero knowledge of drugs who are employed by 'dagbo' companies, and because they can't detail products effectively to doctors and pharmacists to generate sales, they are kicked out to the bin as they don't meet target. That's your type! The truth is that you are not qualified for the job but because some companies want to cut cost, they employ your type only to find out that you can't perform and kick your asxz out. Many companies are now realizing that the best people to do that job are Pharmacists, hence they pay them well to get the job done. Why am i even wasting my precious time on a classless f00l like you ![]() Get off my mention imbeciile!!! I won't respond to you again. |

Jman06:for someone who calls one an slowpoke it was very spiny and dirty of u to stoop low and critisize MCB and bch degree holders for ur info some of d greatest minds in d pharmaceutical industries today are biochemists/microbiologists I wuld av expected a great mind like u to av acknowledged and accorded due respects to d courses sorry if my choice of words r offensjve I actually respect u but dt was jst unruly |
Jman06(m): 11:07am On Dec 16, 2017 |
TRAILBLAIZER:Well, i am a biochemistry graduate myself now in the pharmacy profession. I had a bad experience with many biochem/microbiology graduates working in the pharm. industry where i did my IT. Those guys live in anger and beef pharmacists instead of talking to the management about whatever issues they have. It is bad! Even that guy i quoted made his comment to mock the pharmacists, hence my reaction. I respect those who respect themselves. Thanks for your advice though. |
