They would have announced it, if that was the case. I think it's due to the "Non Academic staff" strike. They're usually the ones who conduct Post Utme. Again, other schools are still going ahead with their Post Utme.

my friend travelled from cross river state to Benin and the transport fare cost him N5,700, he left Cross river by 8am and reached Benin by 9.pm, booked a guest house and uniben finally sent him a text that the exams has been postponed mehnnn the guy 4 craze

That news going round was for last year.
This year's is due to the strike....last year's was an outright cancelation.

Pls who 's got the idea of how uniben is gonno go about their ission process this year? Pls just go straight to the point and save a soul.

After you write the post ume exam, they will divide your jamb score by 8 and divide your post ume score by 2, then add it! If your aggregate score is above the cut off mark for the course you applied for, you get the ission! Simple!

This is to inform the general public that the University of Benin has officially re-opened the registration portal for the ission Screening Exercise 2017/2018 after the announcement of the Postponement of the Screening Exercise scheduled to hold from 14th - 25th September 2017.  

Please note that portal 'll be closed on the 19th of september, 2017.

Hi everyone, I have been following this thread silently... I am a graduate of UNIBEN and my younger brother is an aspirant. Please I want to beg all aspirant to be extremely careful especially those who have never been to Benin, PUTME season is a time wicked people exploit innocent aspirant. For those that don't have where to stay, someone already suggested Fellowship Secretariat/Church please do key into this suggestion as school is not in session and the rate of obnoxious activities is on the increase. I wish I can share stories that happened when I was in school, please don't sleep in any classroom it's highly unsafe. For those that will be staying in Ekosodin, don't stay out late and try not to walk alone, don't be over excited about being away from home, your focus should be on the exam. Muslim, Catholic and Anglican community r the only ones recognized within the school premises, if you are stranded please locate any of them for assistance. Finally, you don't have to pay anyone to give you ission, Uniben will fish u out in 300l and escort you home. Now that the exam has been postponed, read as tho you are writing tomorrow, UNIBEN PUTME is quite easy.
I wish you all the best and journey mercies when you travel

Oh apologies to those that already traveled before the postponement, try not to be too hard on yourself. You will experience maybe more on being itted.....

Finally, the ASUU STRIKE which has lasted for more than a month has been official called off. While addressing a press conference in the Federal Universities of Technology, Minna, the Niger State capital, the National President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi said the union had agreed to suspend the strike after a meeting of the National Executive Council which started on today. The President also listed the components of the agreement which the union had with the Federal Government, which led to the resolution of the long-drawn crisis. While speaking at a press briefing today on resolutions which the Union has reached during the National Exercutive Council meeting NEC in Federal University of Technology FUT, Minna, the president of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi said and we quote: “Finally, NEC resolved to suspend the strike action embarked upon, with effect from monday, September, 18, 2017 and directs its branches to resume work forthwith”. Minna— Parents, students and government officials, Tuesday, expressed relief as the a-month old nationwide strike, by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over non-implementation of 2009 agreement between the union and the Federal Government, was called off. Addressing journalists in Minna, today, after long hours of brainstorming, ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said the union decided to call off the strike after diligent and careful appraisal of various report, especially the resolutions signed last week by ASUU and the Federal Government.
