Ya, the exclusion of F grades from WES CGPA evaluations and the upgrades of our C, D and E results to B, C+ and C respectively make their conversion more favorable.

@lonelyhrt...do not be discouraged yet. If you have a copy of your transcript already with you, you can do the WES evaluation yourself to see if the final comes out to at least 2.5/4.0, before you go ahead and pay for the official evaluation. Here is how you do it:

any A you have still remains A = 4 points
your B becomes a B+ = 3.33
your C becomes a B = 3.00 points
your D becomes a C+ = 2.33
your E becomes a C = 2 points
your F still remains an F = 0 (but do not include any failed courses as part of your calculation, only the years that you ed them).

The rest of the CGPA calculation is as usual.

A 3-unit course you made a C in (the C is now a B on the US scale = 3 points) now becomes 3 units * 3 points = 9 grade points.
A 2-unit course you made a D in now becomes C+ = 2.33 = 2 * 2.33 = 4.66 grade points
A 2-unit course you made an E in now becomes C = 2 points = 2 * 2 = 4.00 grade points and so on.

As usual, sum up all your grade points, and divide by the total number of units you did from first year to final year (excluding the units for all failed courses), that should give you your CGPA on the 4-point scale. Do the conversion and let us see if it comes up to 2.5/4.0, and if it does, congratulations. You may now proceed to the official WES evaluation.

In addition to Bowie State University and Morgan State University, I know two other schools that have 2.5/4.0 as minimum GPA requirement for bachelors degree that could it you for Masters. Do not give up hope yet but you will have to be up and doing about it. Masters in Pharmacology with a 2.50/4.00 GPA may not be too feasible and I strongly advise that you go for similar but less-competitive health courses just so that you get itted and get in the US and you could try changing your course after first semester of study in the US (provided you make a 3.0/4.0 GPA in your first semester). It is doable but you gotta work hard for it.

thanks for your reply.. But come to think of it... Even if those are the best results... What's my gain hiding the rest... It doesn't make any sense(maybe you didn't take your time to read and understand what i wrote up there very well) ... During my time in school, we were given some results during some semesters while during some semesters, they paste the results... I only have the ones of the semesters that we were given... For example... During my set, our 400l first and second semester result was pasted.. We were not given... So that's the point I was trying to make and if not for the *ONE YEAR PLUS AASU STRIKE* I won't be here asking this kinda question... Would have walked directly into the school and collect all the docs I need... Thanks for your reply anyways... I am not trying to outsmart the school.. The bolded is still not clear to me, which school did you attend please? Never heard of universities that give results, results are always pasted and if you need your transcript you can always request for it and this transcript will contain all your results from part one. Most federal schools like OAU, unilag ETC paste all results and you can also check your result online whenever you need it. I am sorry I cant relate with your story. Try to request for a transcript from your school, you cant apply for graduate school abroad with incomplete transcript or results.

Lol at bolded..I actually wanted to before, seeing graduates ask some question irks me. Anyway unofficial transcript means scanned copy, ed or sent by yourself. Official is always sent by your university/school'S exams and records department or WAEC as the case maybe. If they say unofficial, it means you have to scanned all your results and on the application portal.

Good afternoon house, have been following this forum and I found really helpful. I intend studying supply chain and logistics MBA, CGPA via WES 3.05 preparing to write GRE and TOFEL first week in December and enrolling for fall 2018. Schools

Austin state university Texas
Cleveland state university
Texas a&m university
Southern Illinois university Edwardsville
University of Maryland

Please need your candid advice house on the schools I choose what are the chances of ission and scholarships. Which other schools can u choose. Thanks

Nobody can really give you concrete information about ission and scholarships since they change each year. You should direct this questions to the graduate coordinator of each schools and be very explicit about your questions. Having said that, is it University of Maryland in college park and Texas A & M in college station? If yes then you will really need to ace your GRE , since your gpa is just at the border line.However, a man that doesn't dream is a dead man, so don't lose hope, throw in 1-2 top schools applications, write a good sop, get a good LOR and hope for the best. But if those schools are university of Maryland in Baltimore and A&M in Kingville, I don't think you have a problem with ission since they tend to its lots of Nigerians each year, a GRE score of 300 - 310 should do. All other schools seem to be a safe option with an okay GRE score.
