Our input has nothing to do in your idea at this stage. If truly you have this idea, why not start it and see people's input instead of the other way round.

I dont know if it has been done by anyone here in naija and the acceptance is what am worried about after putting so much time to coding and funding it. But from your response I think I will start it

As for the logistics angle am still perfecting work on it, but my biggest issue is getting the public to TRUST my company with their money

How abt u don't keep the money, then u can relate with the banks. So when all th conditions are fulfilled, the money is deposited in the recipients . So the bank just deduct the money and put it on hold without any intermediary so it's inaccessible to both parties until the conditions ar satisfied! So all u just make sure of is that those conditions are satisfied or inform the bank to return the money to d sender less of the required charges of course!!

I don't think there's any licence but your platform must be ed in Nigeria and hosted in Nigeria. gt that from a pro in software industry.

I've seen like 2 -3 sites doing this escrow service. Was conducting market research , that's when I came to the thread . But why did you stop

I wanted to do it because of my friend who was into importation,so we used to rely on the bus driver to help us collect the money as customers won't want to pay without seeing the item they are paying for. Later he said that he has found a delivery company that will deliver the item and also collect payment for him so that's why I dropped the idea. There were some other bank regulations and licences that you must have before you can hold a customer's money, I wasn't ready for all that since I just wanted to build for a friend

I will ask,but GIGM used to do something like that,but I don't know if they still do it.
They only thing is they don't pay the merchant immediately,I think the money stays with them for 5 days or so
