I kinda find it so interesting that some Nairaland Yorubas crave to be united with their linguistic cousins (who are not necessarily their ethnic comrades) in both Kwara and Kogi states.

But somehow these same Nairaland Yorubas would throw tantrums, get aggressive and oppose igbos fiercely each time they see the Nairaland Igbos in the SS, NC and those in the SE seeking to reunite in real time.

How on earth can a people be so aggressively opposed to the very same thing they covet so much, simply because they see it in others?

There are igbos in South South, but are they the majority group in most of the South South? There are Yorubas and Fulani's in North Central, but are they the majority groups there and does that give them the right to claim those lands? Majority of the people in kwara are Yoruba's but are majority of people in Benue and Akwa lbom Igbo's?
Both Yoruba's and Hausa's also have no right to claim large parts of the North Central.

I am not Yoruba, but I have heard so much about this issue from your people that it is starting to grate on everyone's nerves. I want to believe that you are being sarcastic, funny or maybe just trying to create mischief. Each time the issue of the South-South (SS), or North-Central (NC) comes up, you and your people are always the first to classify the entire region (i.e. SS) as Igbo. But each time your people do so, the ethnic minorities within those regions are the ones that make a fuss, telling you that their entire region is not Igbo, but only a few groups within it, have an Igbo identity or ethnic ties. And usually, it is of those few groups, that even say they do not want to be classified with you. Or haven't you heard some Ikweres declining to be classified as Igbo?

I do not know why you or your people always make such sweeping generalisations. This issue has been debated endlessly on this forum. When talking about the SS, please be specific about the tribes you wish to classify as part of your ethnic group. Do not lump everyone together. There are many different ethnic groups in the SS, who are NOT Igbo. Why is that so difficult for you to understand? Same goes for the North-Central, too. Only the Umuezekoha group in a small part of Benue, share ties with your people. But when you guys write your disted epistles, you classify the entire Benue as your domain. Why??!

Those Yoruba ethnic groups in Kwara and kogi state are the ones who want to reunite with their kits and kins in southwest because they love is for what we ar, . No one is forcing it on them.
