Mamas I'm here again oooooo.

My baby boy has indigestion. He cries a lot at night and he doesn't sleep till day break.

I gave him food (breastfeed) in the morning which he vomitted everything after like two hours, some even came out from his nose. I quickly cleaned him up cos hubby too was scared ( we are first time parent)

Fast forward to the afternoon, I fed him again cos he was crying , immediately he burp, he vomittee everything again.

We noticed he will sleep a little, wake up cry , sleep back, wake up, cry and all that which was very unusual.

We had to take him to the hospital in the evening. The doctor we met examined him after I told her what brought us to the clinic. She touched his tommy and she said my baby is over fed and probably he doesn't burp before he is put to sleep.

She wrote some drugs and my hubby went to get them ......my baby as crying again and I decided to feed him , immediately he burp he vomitted again .

My questions:

Do anyone has that experience
How many hours interval should I breast feed him because I guess whenever he is crying, I would just feed him.

Please don't by......help a first time mum.

Well Gripe water to tge rescue.
Gave her 10mil as she was above 6months

Gripe water like every 6 hours or less... same day she was fine after offloading all in her tommy.
Also gave her plenty water 2 drink n it helped too.

We n cough...lol

Used to do palm oil and sugar. It worked.

Right now its pure ori in a spoon with a pinch of salt.
Put over the fire to melt n probably fry.

Pour into another spoon(plastic)... cool it and give baby to drink.
Its effect is immediate. Like instant
When d cough comes again... i do another dose.
B4 nightfal we can do 5 times. But be sure we wont sleep with cough.

They said children shouldn't be given cough syrup.
That cough syrup is to gather the phlegm to enable us spit it outbut children will swallow making dder stomach congested.

Infact ehn..... just try home rememdy.
Plus is there high temprature?
When does ur baby cough more? Day or night?
Hope no dust gathering whatever in ur house?

I will advise u don't treat malaria again after the chloroquine and examine his gum carefully. As for the appetite only him go waka come. Or u take some from my son>:

The insert is washable.
Just endeavor to change as many times as possible just like the normal disposable diaper.

No there isn't high temperature...i think he coughs more during the day, i will try the home remedy tomorrow morning nd hope he doesn't spit it out.thanks a lot

eye drop for the ear? though, there are some eye and ear drop combination sha.

From my experience, if your baby just had cold ( cough and cattarh) just of recent, I mean chronic one, it can leads to ear Infection which need urgent treatment with antibiotics.

Also, if you have been lying down breastfeeding your baby wrongly and you don't clean the ear, the breastmilk sometimes goes Into the ear and can cause Infection, the clot breastmilk will be coming out as pus ( bacteria) ( google this for more understanding). I no be science student.

The baby will be crying profusely. I'm talking from experience.

Thank u dear. Nooo, the eye drop is for the eye discharge. The ear puss have happened few occasions. I guess lying to feed is the cause. No antibiotics was prescribed. Don't know if he is having pains as a result o because he cries a lot at night and disturbs during the day too. Don't no if i should set medicate o let it not b treatment is late. Though I don't lay to feed again. What is the name of the antibiotics you were given set?

That one is rubber not condom oh . Durex has a featherlite version that is more tolerable than most other brands, you may want to try that cos that withdrawal can return you to preggy thread

Mamas I hail una o..My baby(2months) has terrible colic,from 12md till 6pm during the day and 12mn to 6am he just keeps crying intermittently,stretching and twisting his body,sucking sef Na wahala as when the pain come he pulls his mouth off the nipple and start shouting/crying. I have used nospamin,Infacol,gripe water, Colipan no relief at all.
His father had to go get Herbs as his friend told him same happened to his son and the herbs helped. Immediately I gave a drop to lo he threw up all the meal he had taken all day.

I am so confused,seeing him in that situation just breaks my heart and knowing I can't help him makes it worse. Biko,mamas is there home remedy or something??

PS: Started infant formula(NAN 1) for him on Monday.
He poops twice a day.

Please don't give your 2 month old herbs to drink again. The home remedies I know are:
1. Go to elewe omo, ask for herbs for inuwo (not the drinking type, the pressing tummy type). Tie it in a white hanky (white so you'll quickly note when it's dirty, not for any special reason). Warm it a little bit with iron then use to press LO's tummy. Slightly warm oh, not hot enough to burn his tender skin
2. Same elewe omo, ask for kanafuru (cloves in english - it's actually part of the ingredients they use for option 1). Make an infusion with it and drink it morning and night, they say LO will get relief through your breast milk
3. These things may not work so wait it out. I was given this option too but I first ran from pillar to post cos I couldn't cope with his discomfort. If I knew then what I know now all those gripe water, nospamin, elewe omo, plus multiple hospital visits won't have happened. Colic they say is harder on boys than girls but it usually stops by 3 months. The end is near
