In my opinion, Freedom of speech has been taken too far. How dare the Arewa Northern group issue an ultimatum to my people as if the country belongs to them? Yes the majority of Igbos want Biafra (Personally, even as an Igbo, I don't think we are ready for that); but the reasons are very evident. We have suffered so much annihilation/abuse by the Core North for years. We feel incapacitated, especially with the inability to retaliate everytime. Am surprised to hear Us being called ingrates? After all we have gone thru? After the industrious Igbo populace has done a good job at developing the northern states? And the North expects us to lick their feet? No that's unacceptable.

It is alarming that neither the police nor the DSS are forthcoming to effect arrest or even issue any serious warning, more than 100hours after the open threat laced with a three month deadline. All I could deduce from the statements of the IGP of police on 07/06/2017, was "I think we can do this... , I think we have the power to stop this and that.." But Nnamdi Kanu was immediately apprehended when he acted this same way. Total bullcrap. Even in the light of the recent events, nothing serious has being done, we are still being maltreated in broad daylight by the core North with such insultive words of the Arewa group and the in-actions of the DSS.

Seriously, I consider the cold feet of the relevant security agencies in the circumstance as sinister and one that cast ominous sign in the corporate existence of Nigeria. I am very disappointed. Anyway, since the Police and DSS claim that they will deal with the situation, same way they slightly calmed IPOB, we will watch and see. (Even though I don't believe them).

Bro, don't you think that any such arrest at this stage may trigger violence of which igbos in the north would be the primary target?

Maybe the writer is delusional and trying to sound political correct,
everyone can write what he likes off point without tangible reason.

If the required security agencies do their jobs as any other nation does, that will not happen. Besides, they are being arrested for the threats they made with their own lips. There is no riot to be caused here, they made the threats on their own volition. Not all Arewa groups generally side this specific threat. Few Arewa groups, within the past few days have even stepped up to dispute and discourage those attempts to disrupt a One Nigeria.

Whether the arrest is justifiable or not is not the case just yet...the point is that we know how violent these northern youth can be...for now it might be best to ignore them

In every tribe there are bad eggs, and where were you when the killing in jos started back in the late 90's, who is at fault?

I am not in of the killings but we all have to accept that there are bad fellows in each and every tribe.

The igbos are in no position to shout tribalism because they are the most tribalist people that i have ever come across, they are full of hatreds.

Gbam!

Their youths are so disgusting when it comes to national issues. They dont know anything other than tribalism. They will be beating their chest discussing politics and marginalization in their group of gathering. In a group of 10, ask 2 out of 10 to produce PVC they will go silence forever. Them no sabi vote! They collect money for PVC before giving it out to the rightful owner.

That's typical igbo for you, they don't know politics.

in politics there is no permanent enemy and there is no permanent friend. But igbos doesn't hint to the advice they prefer to make enemies with the two major tribes in the country.

It will be impossible for them to rule Nigeria the way they hate Hausa and yoruba.

In a short sentence that is not more than 100 words, can you write on what you've gained from ruling Nigeria for many years that Igbos are missing so much on?

I want you to build a compelling argument on it with the bases and premises pointing more on what you've gained and how retaining the presidency has made your region better than SE. You don't have to gain anything.

My region have never produce a president and we have never complain about it unlike you people that always blame others.

However me, my family and hometown have benefited alot from this country in infrastuctural development, job opportunities and alot of monetary gifts.

The North has 3 geopolitical zones, only 1 zone out of the 3 in the north have ruled Nigeria.

But you southerners won't see to that you always take the north as 1 geopolitical zone while convincing yourself that the south has 3 zones.

I know i didn't give you, your answer because i don't need to and it won't change anything.

So in other words you are content with what you have and that your region is yet to produce a president yet, right...right?? Well, we are not. We want out because we know deep down what we can achieve outside of this contraption.
You are up in arm against Igbos not producing a president since 1967 while you are yet to smell it since amalgamation Damn sh!t

4 out of the the 6 states in the middle belts are hausa speaking states with different minorities , and they have thesame culture as the core north, you can't shy away from a fact. And when did southern Borno, Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe became your people?

The ipobs want biafra and we are ready to help them to achieve their dreams, they should just reciprocate what the northern youth intend to do shikenan.
if you see 4 out of 6 are Hausa speaking state then you are sick. This is why I think Yoruba's have poor knowledge of the geographical settings on Nigeria.
FYI, plateau, Benue, kwara and nasarawa are not major Hausa States. So where are the four your are talking about?

To tell you the truth other regions benefit more than the region that produces the president, We have many examples the recent one is our former president what impact did he brought to his region? The southeast benefited more in the past istration than the south south.

Another example is the Northwest they produced yar'adua where by the south south gained more in his istration, Now it is buhari turn and the southwest are gaining more.

Go to jos the first language you will hear when you set your foot is hausa same goes to Nasarawa, Niger and some part of kogi.

The remaining 2 are Benue and kwara even thou kwara state have fulani as their emir and alot in common with the northern culture only the language differs.

they are not Hausa, Hausa is just a popular language their, just like you will see in some part of south south where you see a lot of people speaking Igbo. Jos is a berom land, not hausa.

Kogi is not Hausa land but majorly igala and egbira, only Niger I can see is more of hausa/Fulani and nupe

There are alot of minorities in plateau such as Berom, langtan, jukum e.t.c But jos metropolitan is predominantly hausa,

Just like Adamawa state there are alot of minorities every LGA have different tribe sometimes one LGA are shared by 2 or 3 tribes. But yola the state capital is dominated by fulani and we still refer Adamawa state as fulani state same goes to Gombe.
