Bennycollins: My friend, there is nothing in this life that is 100% risk free. IT IS EVEN VERY RISKY TO BE ALIVE! Of all money market instruments Treasury Bill is the safest. I stand to be proved wrong. In the past it does not offer so much yields as we see now, its just that the rates at present are juicy. So take advantage of it while it lasts. As to your question 'what if Nigeria disintegrates?' My question is 'what if the world ends' can you rescue yr TB? The only people that claim zero% risk in their investments are the Ponzi people hence they do not make any simplistic sense to the legit and credible investors like many in this house. 3 Likes |

Yes, if the world ends, I end but if Nigeria disintegrate I would possibly remain.

Investnow2017: It depends. While I'm by no means an economist or investment analyst, I'm going to be giving a simple answer based on my limited understanding of the market. Yields in money market fund fluctuates daily. It might be 16.5% today or 19% tomorrow. With Treasury Bill you're assured of whatever rate you purchased the bill for the period. |

Bennycollins: Bros, if Nigeria disintegrates you still loose the ones in ur , cos naira may seize to have value , that is my guess o. You can either convert your money in dollars and burry or buy gold and wear it on your person at all times. 1 Like |

Bennycollins: If Nigeria disintegrates peacefully (through talks/referendum), your money is safe. The resulting countries will figure out how to share the debts and pay them. If it is by war, "you have no money", regardless of where you put it...whether it's in treasury bills, or savings , or buried underground; whatever happens to "Naira", as a result of the war will affect your money. 3 Likes |

Investnow2017:bros even ponzi is risky. Except you are the owner of the ponzi site or an else, sorry. I lost $1000 to a ponzi scheme few months ago |
ositadima1(m): 11:49am On May 28, 2017 |
SamReinvented: You are right, but I don't see Nigeria disintegrate peacefully. As it is now their are a set of people who benefit the most, this guys will never let Nigeria disintegrate, not peacefully at least. |

I just called GTBANK customer and they told me 25% and the minimum is 500k. Can anyone here concur? |
Investnow2017: 11:18am On May 29, 2017 |
Harizona7893: If you had read my post between the lines you would have understood that i simply implied that Ponzi schemes are the RISKIEST kind of socalled investment. And that will not make any sense to credible legit investors like me who are determined to play right and clean. Ponzi schemes are for greedy brats who have no selfconfidence and they often pay dearly for it at the end of the day! |
