Sorry for the late reply. We just rounded up week two, it was a stressful and long week. I emplore all applicants to be ready in body and mind.

Once you're confident in your home study, pick up on JavaScript ES6 and study alot. Research on database like Firebase and MongoDB. Basically, let ion be your driving force.

It is timed, although I don't know if it is Andela that's interested in the timing or its simply Qualified.io style. The quizes are individually timed and so is the whole assessment. From my observations so far, the time starts when you start but doesn't seem to stop until you are completely done.

It is estimated about 4hrs would be enough to finish the 16 challenges, but the instructions say you wouldn't be stopped even if the time has elapsed. So yeah, except for each quiz that you must complete once you start, you can always return to continue the assessment.

I'm sure you got a mail shortly after applying, inviting you to take a plum test. Take it. Then start studying with the homestudy curriculum. If you've gotten an invitation to take the proctor test already, you can safely ignore it, or you can still take it for practice purposes. Andela has switched to Qualified.io so whatever you do on proctor wouldn't count.

For the homestudy assessment, it is important you know how to write programs in Python and if possible, Javascript, so don't read theory alone and chill.

In a few days after the first mail, you'd get another, inviting you to take the Qualified.io test.

Although i'm still awaiting the test link, ...How long did it take you guys to complete the test?.. Is it a must to complete it immediately its started? what's the implication of the count down time as against screening criteria?.
