The appalling thing is that folks back home do not know the kind of damaging reputation Nigerians have on an International scale. Until you live overseas and i don't mean just visiting or for holidays, i basically mean to reside completely....only then will you see and really understand the damage these internet fraudsters has done to us. Go to Instagram and see what yahoo boys are displaying and you expect regard from the foreigners. Even when you excel academically or intellectually, the exploit is still looked into so much that you begin to wonder. Back in Med school topping the class meant a great deal, and whenever i or the other Nigerian girl did there was always some people who thought we cheated. We just need to reorient ourselves from the ground up. 1 Like |

Nigerias' problem isn't just because of the scammers or corrupt politicians, the masses are also a big cause. A famous quote says; "evil prevails when good people keep silent". When corruption started in this country, our parents kept silent and used the "religious" idea that "God will settle things" instead of standing up to their rights. We are really in deep mess and we really need to start telling ourselves the truth.

Bleep what they say. I forever proud despite the problems. Can you imagine the level of carnage out society will be if Nigerian youths decided to sit by and wait for govt...like some welfare state. It will be Civil War 7 by now. According to a Portuguese researcher Pedro who visited Nigeria to see for him self "Nigeria is the most entrepreneurial country in human history" Everything from Showbiz to Nollywood to our music Industry to Yahoo to .....anything is Bourne out of the need for survive. The biggest ponzi scammers in living memory is American....the Madoff scandal ruined millions. Drug racketeering and weapons is a bigger threat to Americans than Nigerian scammers. Illegal imigrant in a daily basis kill innocent Americans, you hear reports of 80 year old women been raped by Hispanic illegals. .....yet Nigerians are the bad guys because of their affinity to date white women. Wtf. The head of the U.S military Drone program is Nigerian you dumb bleeps. It was a Nigerian doctor who inspired the movie Concussion...which by the way saved countless lives you dumb bleeps. I'm not saying Nigeria is perfwvt, but if you gonna generalise a whole nation then better get your fucking facts in order you dumb bleeps. Africans hate Nigerians because they cannot stand out drive to success, our confidence, our can do spirit *Which America once possessed* but have been lost to a stupid culture of Liberal decadence and debauchery where being gay anf transgender makes you a hero. America going down the drain because of this and somehow Nigerians are to blame. Bleep you modafuckers. 1 Like |

We have scammers and opportunists in every country of the world. People commit all manner of crazy crimes. No doubt we have corrupt people in Nigeria, but we also have lots of diligent and hard working people. Our leaders have also ruined this country and we the followers are very docile. We just go to work, Church and mind our business. You see people praising a governor or president for doing his job. Americans can say whatever they like. Not everyone likes Americans too. The world in general is a jungle and everyone must use their brain, be careful and watchful at all times. The America be talking as if all Americans a saints. 5 Likes |

blackfase:If they want to somehow cut us off from the international financial community or make it as difficult as hell, they can. It's still us innocent people they are worried about. But the moment they notice that even we the good ones the activities of these scumbags, they will pull the trigger. 1 Like |

ClintonDal: You are the biggest idiot in history . I am not a scammer, but these Nigerians you despise are doing nothing but surviving. They sustain their family and train the less priviledged to school. The peopme doing real damage to Nigeria are our crooked politicians. Rather than hold them able you make excuses for them and blame Yahoo boys. Did you know that the Nollywood movie industry which we Nigerians all have pride in was Bourne out of money made from Yahoo? 2 Likes |

TheVictorious:Very true. Also about the scammers, after the MMM era, then came that dead era. All sorts of ponxi schemes were opening up daily. Some would open up 6am in the morning and after successfully collecting an amount they feel comfortable with, just shut down before night sef and be gone. These were nigerians doing this to each other. And those who participated did not care about the fact that they could be scammed, they would rush in and donate cash as soon as they hear of a new one so that they wiuld be among the first batch to be paid, as far as they weren't the ones the schemes closed down on then they were okay. Looking back at it i realised that those ppl might say they are not scammers because they did not open or shut down the scheme, but they forget that they helped spread the scam fever. I can also say they were scammers cos they invited friends who came over and got scammed. These were all nigerians. I do mot know what we can do to repair Nigeria's reputation if there is any left to even repair. The country is in a mess and we are the cause of it, that much is certain. 1 Like |

What the foreigner said is true sadly. we may not carry guns and do violent crime, but we are corrupt, lazy, dirty, crooked, scammers, fraudulent and dishonest. More than half of the entire population fits into one, two and even in some cases all the vices mentioned above.

SSBN:Wtf. So we should praise yahoo boys because they scam less than politicians? What u are saying is like we should praise a murderer because he did not murder as many ppl as the other murderer. Yahoo boys are simply surviving by taking what another person uses to survive? Please i advice u to change the way u think cos the white person was referring to ppl like u. Do u even think if half of the broke ppl in america wanted to "survive" that ur bank would still exist talkless of being empty? They mighy have hacked ur acct, removed the money from it and even erase the so that when u go to complain u will be treated like a criminal that wants to blackmail the bank. 3 Likes |

Answer this question honestly. Whose crime is likely to affect you on a personal basis? Our politicians, our police or yahoo?

chiraqDemon(m): 5:05pm On May 17, 2017 |
TheVictorious: Bro nor mind am If they bribe our leaders and our leaders collect, who is this corruption affecting. Its us. They get their profits (billions of dollars higher than the bribe they gave) and get to keep the good stuff for their oen markets. Btw is it their fault that we don't have high standard ratings for products? Thats a loophole any legit businessman would explore. We accept bad products, so they give us bad products. If we stop being corrupt then they cant bring their corruption diwn here. It is all our fault and not theirs. Btw our own has reached another level. In US corruption and disorder is not as rampant. Only few countries in this world are like us, and most are acrican countries too. 1 Like 1 Share |

fuckerstard:Why not? Tell me why I'm in business ,if not to make prices. Besides, no one forced you to buy.The price at which you buy a bottle of coke at a local store is not the same as price you buy from Mr biggs, and some other sophisticated eaterie.Indeed, price varies. I'm not in favor of corruption, but your case doesn't tally with corruption. It's case of you buying at a higher price. |

I've been vindicated again. If Nigeria will ever see the light at all before the end of this world, it must first be broken down into smaller nations because Nigeria was never designed to be one in the first place. Different tribal & political interest at the expense of the masses by the wicked political "elites " who hijacked &.control 90% of our collective patrimony & their subjects (zombies/followers) sing their praise by their actions & inaction. Truth is an average Nigerian is very very desperately wicked naturally. If you are the only one doing the right thing amongst them, they call you fool or despise you. You hear things like "if you can't beat them you them" , "Do what I say & not what I do". Very hypocritical country, lovers & worshippers of money & those who owns it. 98% are mere religious whether Christian or Muslims without fear of God in them They are zombies to so called men of God instead of God & His Word. I was listening to "man around town " online on ITV Radio a very good pidgin english morning program I've not missed for many years now & I heard the anchor talking about how he witness a court case in US of an employee that was sentence for using the public printer for his personal work. In Nigeria, you will steal that same printer, sell it or take it home & nothing happens. Go to various government & private establishment especially the government sector & see the damage employees have left there from lies lies lies to fraud fraud fraud to bribe bribe bribe to tribalism tribalism tribalism (corruption) Post a topic on any Nigerian fora or tv or radio station that someone mistakenly credited your bank with #1million naira or you just picked a bag of money & you don't know what to do with it. Let the Nigerian youths or some adults call in & comment, their response & action will shock the devil & kill him. BTW Nigerians are more racist than anyone else in the world. You see your fellow Nigerian with a fair or dark skin & calling them as oyinbo, yellow man ebo, blacky, white man, afonjas, Igbos, & other demeaning adjectives. 1 Like |

chiraqDemon: I cant believe any one in his right senses would make excuse for any form of dishonesty, reading the so called leader of tomorrow trying to justify the act of 419 make me doubt if there is still hope for this country, no wonder the politicians rip them off of their commonwealth but instead of throwing stones at them they sing their praises. |

And I am amazed that none of yall blaming scammers don't know that the American teach us how to scam.... Go online the whites no how to manipulate and they create different software to help in making scam easy. All the tools used by scammers are created by the whites. If they don't provide all those things and also teach us how to hack then how will hacking spread? And about the wife scammers. A lot of of white do that to their fellow whites. Both female/male got used by their partners and even families. Their girls are also gold diggers, and they lie the most. And 70% of them do drugs A lot of crimes that we cant even try here 1 Like |

chiraqDemon: Exactly. Now you are getting the point. Guess what, majority of these schemes are opened by people who claim not to do ponzi schemes, yet the accepted the offer to do such a Job. Some one who I told that I don't do ponzi scheme once invited me yo one e-cooperative stuff, and I ed without really understanding. The guy immediately told me after paying to go and get other people and collect their money to get mine back. Just imagine. I forfeited it. I have seen people I respect, that are financially okay, getting involved in ponzi schemes, so as to pull the big share and I simply wonder what will become of us if the educated ones that should define the pattern of society are the ones pulling off such criminal activities with so much impunity. What is the worth of our education. We claim that our leaders are corrupt but we don't even know the meaning of corruption. The VC of a celebrated varsity is being laid off for financial crimes. Yet, he must have expelled students for malpractices. It is an error! I still continue to believe that we can change and such change will only come by revamping the system. People hold the system responsible instead of the system to hold people responsible! I can explain more. 3 Likes |

chiraqDemon: Abi. You don see our country people. That's how defending corruption starts. By saying it's not really our fault, then it's not so bad, well, it's not all that bad, etc. and it continues until it gets to no be only me dey do am afterall. |
chiraqDemon(m): 5:25pm On May 17, 2017 |
Amberon:Fact. There are still many that are good but most are bad. Even those that have an 8am to 4am job will go to eork by 10 or 11am and leave by 1 or 2pm. Yet they still scream that govt wont pay salaries. In this case idk if its the salaries that came first or the work. Is govt not paying cos they are not working or are they no working cos govt is not paying? Classic chicken or egg case The above trait is found even in the so called "honest" ones. |

We are Nigerians regardless of what we post on here, it's just like spraying perfume on a casket. This is a perfect example of what we are debating about, religion don't make us, tribes don't make us, we are what we make ourselves and the result is what we get in return. Don't try to justify yourself and condemn others, because together we are one.

abbeyty:Exactly. Its a very sad situation. Most of us youths use the poiliticians as excuse to commit crimes. Many times on NL when a thread is opened of the arrest of a robber or yahoo boy, the comments make me wonder if there is hope. Some will even say u are arresting him while u praise politicians. Yes its wrong to praise politicians and arrest the "common G boy", both should be arrested and locked up. But because the politician is not locked up does not mean the gboy has the right to run free and scam more. He should be arrested and serve his own punishment while we wait for the politician's turn to come. 2 Likes |
