What is the point of keeping something that has been corrupted? When the time comes, it has to be destroyed since it is useless. If God can let you go on with your blasphemy on NL, why are you surprised that he let Lucifer lead a rebellion many years ago, before Adam?

Lucifer was the covering cherub in charge of that old earth [Ezekiel 28:14]. He rebelled against God and brought about corruption in the earth, leading to the destruction of that old world. Isaiah 14:12-15
